MMORPG: Ancient World by Aibek

Have been reading this, so far only at chapter 7, but my take is that while Chapter 1 and 2 seem interesting and set a good tone for the story, chapters 3 and onwards seem like some sort of activity log and not a story.

I don't know if this is because author wants to quickly skip the levelling process and get to the good parts or its just that author is bad at describing events. going to read on further to see if this activity log style storytelling will be all or not.

Anyhow thought I would write this here for any future readers.

EDIT : at chapter 10 now and it does seem that the activity log style writing starts to become less, at least we now have MC thoughts and plans written out. I guess Author really wanted to skip the initial grind and setup quickly. Seems that the storytelling is slowly taking a better tone.

EDIT 2 : At around chapter 25, Storytelling gets much better, though sometimes author still uses that activity log style to skip ahead some of the tedious stuff.

EDIT 3 : at around chapter 170.
Bit early to tell but considering the author notes at the bottom. It does not bode well for the novel. Up until that point it's fairly good read.

So what is the issue. Author said he is a fan of Supremacy Games and is considering adding same format to his novel. I already see similarities where there are story arcs left undone to go for new adventure. So if he also copies the game format then this is just another copy of Supremacy Games.

I did not go into this to just end up reading a ripoff of Supremacy Games. Especially since Supremacy Games is subpart novel and no way should be taken as an example to make new story.
