    Finished Circle of Inevitability on November 17, 2025, on my 44th day of reading.

    Overall, it’s not as good as Lord of the Mysteries. It never evoked the same feelings for me. But it was not bad. 9/10 imo. Volume one was a phenomenal setup, and seeing the Tarot Club reappear was great. Lumian isn’t as good of a character as Klein, but I really related with his mental issues in volume two and that made him a better protagonist than a lot of people seem to think he is. This isn’t a perfect story, just like Lord of the Mysteries wasn’t, but it’s by no means bad. In fact, I think it was pretty damn good.

    Life is only story that can accommodate so many people

    Most people, myself included, naturally resist sudden intimacy and attachment. It's like how picking your own nose feels satisfying, but having someone else do it feels awkward and uncomfortable.
