    You know it just occurred to me how weird the second path system is.
    Ill instead refer to it as the Boon System.

    Functionally.
    You just get a fully digested sequences worth of power without the need for a potion.

    That sequence functions as far as we can tell exactly the same as a Path Sequence in terms of power level, knowledge and the fact that it has Sequences and "leveling" + theme'ing like a Path does.

    I recognize that theres a few big catches.
    One that you dont actually own the corresponding beyonder characteristic, if you even get one. Which in this world is very yikes as any entity worthy of giving boons just gets access to you whenever and however it wants.

    And that youre lowkey doubling up on corruption odds. Although you dont have to digest a potion (as far as we've seen) it seems like most folks if they were to try and duo path would just insta corrupt and die.

    Thank the Fool we're reading the PoV of a golden spoon MC who has the whole might of the Tarrot Club[s/] and [s]The Fool to mostly just "Nuh uh" away the real side effects.

    Itll be VERY interesting late game in the novel to see if we get this Boon Sequence upgrades side by side with the Path Sequence and what that looks like. Sorta makes me think our dear /Ciel/ here will maybe cap out in the novel around Sequence 2.

      Exactly my thoughts. Though I would like to add how weird it is that except for in the dream we have not seen anyone else with boons. Also it was said that the boons were a sign if corruption, as you said, imagined by Lumian/Ceil

    Yeah just a random woman popping up, due to the effects she had on Lumian i guess she is a demoness. I find it interesting how Lumian can have access to the powers of multiple pathways, i cant remember why he has access to this though.
