Su Hao had experienced death in so many forms that he'd lost much of his fear of it. This allowed him to maintain a deceptive calm.

The threat of death loomed before him. He estimated his chances of survival at only 10-20%, but he wasn't about to give up without a fight.

The murderer's eyes were bloodshot, his thoughts clearly chaotic. The machete swung wildly, missing its mark repeatedly.

Su Hao tracked the blade's movements, ducking and rolling to evade the clumsy attacks. He scrambled to his feet and sprinted toward the playground, hoping to find cover amidst the colorful structures.

The murderer's blade sliced through air. Annoyed, he watched the 'cool kid' rolling, scrambling, and running for his life.

Run, eh? You think you can escape? A cruel glint flickered in the murderer's eyes as he gave chase.

Glimpsing the approaching figure, Su Hao knew the murderer was closing in, raising the machete for another strike. He braced himself, anticipating the blow. My right shoulder.

Su Hao dropped to the ground, the machete whistling past his head, narrowly missing his skull.

As he tried to rise, a powerful hand clamped around his ankle, yanking him back. No matter how hard he struggled, he couldn't break free.

It's over, Su Hao thought with a sigh. It seems I'm destined not to survive past five.

The murderer grinned triumphantly. This annoying brat wouldn't escape this time. He raised the machete for a third, decisive strike, aiming for Su Hao's back.

    *Thwack!*

The machete slammed against the plastic board protecting Su Hao's back, the impact producing a sharp, echoing sound as the blade bounced harmlessly off the makeshift armor.

The murderer stared in disbelief. He swung again, but the blade still bounced off. Frustrated, he tore at Su Hao's clothes, ripping out the plastic boards from the front and back. A murderous rage filled his eyes. Impatiently, he raised the machete for one final, desperate blow, eager to see how this brat would avoid it!

As the plastic boards fell away, Su Hao swiftly grabbed a handful of loose sand from his pocket and hurled it into the murderer's eyes.

The murderer instinctively released Su Hao's ankle, raising his hands to shield his face. Although his hands blocked most of the sand, the close range and suddenness of the attack meant that some of it still got into his eyes.

'Aaaagh!' The murderer screamed, frantically blinking and rubbing at his burning eyes.

Su Hao seized the opportunity, scrambling to his feet and delivering a swift, powerful kick to the man's groin.

'Owww—' The murderer's machete clattered to the ground as he doubled over in agony, clutching at his injured parts.

Su Hao didn't hesitate. He sprinted toward the door.

The sand would soon be washed away by his tears, and the pain would only last a few more seconds. After that, he wouldn't stand a chance. If the murderer managed to grab the machete again, Su Hao would be defenseless.

He burst through the doorway and found a group of men, thirty or forty years old, armed with batons, charging toward the classroom.

'Phew, the reinforcements finally arrived!' Su Hao sighed in relief, running until a man swept him up into his arms.

The man carried him to safety, placing him among the other terrified children, before turning and rushing back into the classroom.

The group of children were crying hysterically. Su Hao's arrival momentarily stunned them into silence. Then, as his gaze swept over them, they lowered their heads and began to sob quietly.

Soon, the men managed to subdue the murderer. Sirens wailed in the distance, growing louder as ambulances and police cars raced toward the scene.

Su Hao waved his small hands with relief. He was safe, for now.

Only now, with the immediate danger passed, did the adrenaline begin to wear off. His heart pounded in his chest, his breathing came in ragged gasps, and his face burned red.

Panic led to mistakes. Now, he could finally relax and wait for rescue. He still couldn't believe that his small body had managed to survive against that gleaming blade.

The most terrifying moment had been when the murderer grabbed his ankle. He had been as helpless as a fish on a cutting board. If the murderer hadn't wasted time attacking his back and had aimed for his head, he would surely be dead.

As Su Hao calmed down, he began to recognize a change within himself. In the past, he would never have been able to stay rational and think so clearly when faced with such a ruthless killer.

After so many deaths, reincarnations, and near-death experiences, his mental fortitude had grown exponentially. The more critical the moment, the more calmly he could analyze the situation.

But this wasn't entirely a good thing. He realized he had lost his fear of death. This was a terrifying thought. It was equivalent to losing the will to survive in desperate situations.

Soon, the situation was under control. The area was cordoned off, the police took the murderer into custody, and the injured children and security guards were rushed to the hospital for treatment. The kindergarten teacher contacted the parents to pick up their children. Reporters swarmed the scene, eager to report the story.

When Huang Shujun arrived, her face etched with worry, she burst into tears upon seeing Su Hao unharmed. She clutched him tightly, refusing to let go.

Su Hao was genuinely grateful to be alive. If he had died again today, he couldn't imagine the pain and guilt his mother would have to endure.

    ...

Soon, a video began to circulate online.

The video showed a tiny boy dodging a murderer's machete, counter-attacking, and escaping with his life.

The boy in the video was Su Hao.

The comment section exploded with reactions.

'Holy crap, unbelievable! This is like the legendary David versus Goliath!'

'Who is this kid? He's so handsome! What a hero!'

'My boss just yelled, "Awesome!" I'm from a fighting club.'

'I admit, I'd probably lose to this kid in a fight...'

    'No probably about it!'

'The criminal was probably caught because of this kid's efforts.'

'I might not be able to beat this kid. Am I too weak?'

'Be more confident. There's no "might" about it.'

    'This is unprecedented!'

'I used to think the action scenes in movies were ridiculous, but this proves that reality is even more unbelievable!'

'Shows you that not everyone is created equal.'

'Who is this kid? I want to marry him! I'm willing to wait ten years.'

'To the person above, he'll only be 15 or 16 in ten years! That's not gonna work.'

'Has anyone noticed how calm this child was throughout the entire ordeal? He grabbed those plastic boards to protect himself as soon as he realized there was a threat. He even had sand in his pockets. He's incredible. An absolute genius.'

Su Hao became an overnight sensation, known as the 'Kindergarten Genius'.
