Now that I think about it, VTB also took the shadow of its Egg from Sunny's Soul. Why would it take it? maybe it could somehow make a shadow spawn??.

This happened when Sunny encountered VTB in Oblivion's Tomb. It first took the shadow of Egg(Great Devil) from Sunny's soul sea and then stole his Fate

Am I the only one with the thought that since Cassie is a seer, and she's seen multiple time lines, wouldn't she have seen herself supreme? And how to go about it and what she needs to become supreme? More like she's waiting on the perfect timing to ascend? If not that maybe sees been supreme this whole time and acting weak or building up her domain. Damn it's just weird that the seer hasn't become supreme yet.

Another aspect of her being supreme, what would her challenge in natural ascending? What about since she broke fate she must repair it, and that depends on sunny gaining his fate back?

All three shown natural ascensions occurred with the active use of Will. This condition cannot be met by manipulating fate. Besides, the destruction of fate is the work of at least one, maybe two divine beings, not just Cassia. I think she must do something more mundane to ascend, and all this mess with fate will only provide some support.

Jet faced a supreme challenge: destroying Kanakh's soul was a supreme challenge, as she herself stated. I believe she didn't achieve supreme status because she lacked the will and the domain

Okay, I have a really crazy theory.

Sanfis is good, but I was thinking...

This volume could do without them. We have Asterion, who can change his thoughts, desires, and habits with the help of an Aspect. In theory, he can completely alter his personality to suit his goals. Imagine that at some point he decides that to preserve humanity, he must truly bond with it. The same could be said for Cassia. These are two characters whose powers can influence personality. Imagine the mental acrobatics that their evenly matched, long-term confrontation would entail.
We have Mordreth, a being barely remaining human. And yet, he must have the ability to change. Ultimately, he embodies a reflection. Now he stands at a crossroads. Mordreth himself said that he no longer pursues revenge, which means he has no goals (the goal of survival is boring; it's not fitting for a sovereign to only care about his own ass). How will this psychopathic hivemind reflect the war with Asterion? The cooperation with Cassia? What if kind Mordreth returns to the story?

And the rest of the cohort? Effie might face her old dilemma: "to protect loved ones, you must risk loved ones." Now she can't properly protect her son, and her husband has become an enemy. Isn't that an interesting premise? Kai has always been a kindhearted guy. Now he's in a new reality where he has no allies, no one he can be a good friend or comrade to. If he doesn't want to be a burden, Kai must become tougher. Will he be able to maintain the balance between who he is and who he needs to be? What about Jet? I'm too lazy to come up with anything for Jet. She's a grown woman and should be able to take care of herself. We already have the beginnings of an interesting plot.

Honestly, I don't see anything interesting in Sanfis's current dynamic. They're a good couple, but that's not enough for a good plot. SS isn't romance, after all. External obstacles also don't create anything interesting. These are two demigods, damn it, I have a hard time imagining a place, an adversary, or a situation that could force them into interesting plot. Especially since there's no need to do that. We already have Asterion.

What else? I see potential for a metanarrative (whatever that fancy word means) twist here. Am I the only one who feels like the quality of the supporting characters has dropped significantly since Nightmare III? In Book 8, only Effie was a minor role, in Book 9, they spent most of their time hanging out with Mordreth. Only in Book 9 were they a significant part of the story. And even so, g3 shoved them into these disgusting "side-quest" stories. Awful.
Just as Sunny lost touch with his friends after losing his fate, the novel lost some of its characters. And now Sunny has gone to find his destiny (most likely). There are hints that he has already regained it. Therefore, the novel should also return the characters to the reader.

And I'm not saying Sanfis shouldn't appear in this volume at all. I'd happily watch them make soup out of the Sacred Titan and miss the cohort while the cohort itself is going through some Vietnam-like shyt. I just don't want to see a story about rescuing the princess.

After all, you have five saints, a divine sovereign, and one horrifying master with Alzheimer. Isn't that enough to kick one old man's ass?

G3 damn it, give me back my characters.

Maybe I just have Stockholm syndrome.

Yes the Titan title means the aspect is divine rank

          Example:
          Dormant no aspect
          Awakened Titan
          Ascended Titan
          Transcendent Titan
          Supreme Titan
          Sacred Titan
          Divine Titan

Different ranks but all divine aspect

Summoning a complete sea in the middle of a battle would be to overpowered, unless you can nuke it how would you fight a sea? He could wipe out entire armies making every war so easy, imagine Mordred and all his vessels, sunny summons a sea over them killing all the weak ones easily, then an army of aquatic shadows attacking the strong vessels and even if they manage to get out of the water some flying shadows waiting for them to attack as soon as they get out of water

The Dark Sea must have abilities based on True Darkness, meaning its interaction with other shadows would be problematic. Therefore, I think a Mordreth would be able to realize this vessel somewhat better. Okay, I just want to see this guy at the peak of his power. He's very similar to Sunny, but while the former's abilities are amorphous and fluid, the latter's are illusory and surreal. He possesses an entire realm within his soul and can manifest it into reality. What else can you stuff into this realm? People? Vessels? Materials? An entire city? Maybe even a citadel? A bastion? Just imagine. You are a soldier in an army summoned to contain the King of Nothing. Awakened, Masters, a Saint, even a single sovereign. Tens of thousands of warriors await a bloody battle. A lone silver gate appears in the middle of the field and quickly disappears. Only one person remains on the opposite side. But the next moment, something strange begins. Water flows from the mirrors, from your shining swords, from your armor, even from your eyes. Dark water trickles to the ground, collects in puddles, and then spews forth its own liquid. Soon the water reaches your ankles and fills the entire field. You look down and see the smooth, dark surface of this lake. You are reflected in it. Your comrades are reflected in it. A majestic castle, which shouldn't be here, is reflected in it. You raise your head and see the same castle, but in ruins. A city surrounds the castle, and before it, a horde of vessels. Then the carnage begins. First, two armies clash, then the Sovereigns enter the field. Soon the battle will end, Asterion will retreat, the vessels and corpses will sink beneath the water, the Citadel will evaporate. The newly formed sea will begin to be drawn into swords and armor and soon disappear completely, taking with it all the remnants of the battle. Only a small shard of a mirror will remain on the field. And you survived. You experienced all of this, you saw all of this, just because at the very beginning you were drawn into the Mirror Kingdom.
