    Ah, this doesn't bode well for the human domain regardless of what the reason and outcome end up being.

    If Kai said that as a result of an early stage of the infection, naturally that's bad because Kai being infected is bad. If Asterion pulls up afterwards in this case, that's horrible because it'll only sway even more people towards Asterion, knowing that the one and only Saint Nightingale supports him as well, not to mention the good PR for repelling the abhorrent King of Nothing. If Asterion doesn't show up in this case, then that still weakens the Human Domain because it shows that they were too weak to repel their enemies, needing to rely on Asterion. Naturally, his PR won't be as good as if he pulled up, but it's still better than Nephis in this case.

    If Kai isn't infected at all and just called Asterion's name out of desperation, then that will end up sowing the seeds of the infection regardless, born from that dependence on Asterion. The outcomes in this situation are essentially the exact same as the previous situation.

    Not to mention the fact that if Asterion does show up, Mordret will probably retreat prematurely to make Asterion look better in an attempt to sabotage the Human Domain, weakening Nephis and equalizing his opponents strengths further. This isn't guaranteed, seeing as he believes Asterion is a far greater threat than Nephis and Sunny (rightfully so, he honestly is at this stage).

        due to kai ascended ability because of which anything he says becomes a command so when he says asterion it increases the chances that somebody would be enthralled by asterion

    I doubt Asterion will show up in person. Even if the two supreme ones don't have combat aspects, Mordreth will kick his ass too easily. The maximum is one more gate.
