Cassie was probably infected without her knowledge. In the fight against Asterion's thralls Nephis couldn't heal Cassie probably because she was already infected by Asterion

If that were the case all Asterion would have to do is to tell Cassie to kill herself.

    The best person to fight asterion is still sunny,let's see;
Sunny has acquired Mind Weave, a part of Weaver’s forbidden lineage specifically designed to provide immense mental fortitude. This attribute greatly diminishes the effectiveness of mind-based attacks, hexes, and emotional manipulation.
Asterion’s domain is tied to knowledge and recognition. However, Sunny is Fateless, meaning he has been erased from the tapestry of fate. This makes it extremely difficult for divination or destiny-based powers to track him, see his future, or potentially "root" a mental seed in his thread of fate as Asterion might do to others.
Asterion’s ultimate goal is to assimilate all six divine lineages. He believes Sunny holds the Shadow God’s lineage, but that lineage was actually devoured by Weaver’s Blood Weave.
If Asterion attempts to "consume" Sunny’s lineage, theories suggest the more aggressive Weaver's lineage might instead devour Asterion's gathered lineages from the inside out, potentially killing him or stripping him of his power.

Thinking about it, I don't think it will be that simple. Aster is the idea of changing the foundations of consciousness; this is not so much an external attack as it is an attack from within.
Also, the Weaver bloodline comes from the bloodline of the God of Dreams, whose "*flame" compared to the rest is still at its peak (if not stronger since its corruption), while the others are weak since they began to spread their own flames. Aster, born in the realm of dreams from a cult that worships the God of Dreams, believed that he possessed the original bloodline of the God of Dreams, while the bloodline of the God of Heart was obtained later.

    Sunny is not acting right.
And I don't think G3 wants to genuinely defend camps. Shamelessly suggesting the same shit valor and song did (and no it's not different. it it the exact same thing).

As soon as Nephis starts being seen as the authoritarian leader who puts dissenters in camps by her citizens. How goddamn easy do you think it would be for people to turn to Asterion? screw the mind hex they'd turn to him willingly.

All three of them are weird. Sunny gave Cassie the idea to get into Yutra's mind, and in spite of the high risk, she agreed without hesitation. Then we have Sunny with the internment caps idea, and even though Neph hesitates a bit, she agrees in the end. All three of them suspicious.

Camps are a way to hide cruelty from the masses. What happens inside the camps is ultimately about killing the people. Sometimes you'll torment them first, preceded by exploitation, experimentation or torture, but in the end you start killing people at the same rate you bring them in. Camps are worse.

If you go to one of those camps today some of them will have theater rooms where you can watch the propaganda films the government put out saying they were "actually treated well". It's all very f#cked up

Bruh, are you dumb? They're dealing with an eldritch entity that doesn't even call itself a human anymore.

The Ramblings and wacky theories of a mind overrun by corruption... or sleep deprivation:

    - ISAAC/ASTERION MAKE US WHOLE theory !!! I'm betting my metaphorical hat the moon men is About to pull a KANAKT! i played too much DEAD SPACE to know where this is going ! communion ?... MORE LIKE CONVERGENCE ! I think he will try to reach apotheosis the same way KANAKT tried, with a good old convergence event !!!(repeat after me now: twinkle twinkle little moon men with brainwashing abilities that absolutely does not want to become a brethren moon , how i wonder what you are XD)

    - what would have happened if sunny used the mirror that can copy abilities on nether's reflection during the time storm in the river of time ?

    - if Cassie could not see the future beyond the bird incident in the estuary, does that mean the last thing she saw was sunny getting T bagged by a bird ? That would be HILARIOUS because it would also mean Cassie is an absolute psychopath since she persuaded sunny to ditch the group to go to the well of wishes knowing full well the only thing awaiting him was a very heated custody battle followed by a bird T bag ( she couldn't even know if he would survive XD)

    - ME, MY BRAIN AND MYSELF are making a petition to G3 so that he can make wholesome and funny side chapters of little ling, going to school with his wolf pack composed of wolf shadows :saint dire fang, the cursed wolf and the pack of transcendent wolves scaring the ever living DAMNATION out of any teacher or kid ( also my head cannon for little ling transformation is a big Shiba ...... because OF COURSE )

    - knowing that becoming supreme is done through an act of defiance and breaking rules of the world , what if Cassie defied the world and became supreme.... By remembering sunny ?

    - idk about u guys but i really want some interesting slice of life chapters ( ex: how kai deals with his past life as ex star or even his family) .One of the greatest aspects of SS for me is the characters, they are likeable, not cliche, and just seem relatable despite most of them being completely INSANE, this just leaves me wanting to know how they interact with their family and friends ( aside from combat or missions ), things like how rain's family reacted to the sudden patronage OF DEATH ITSELF…. i think you get what i mean. Its goofy and funny moments that makes them... human. All of this just to say that i miss the eye candy cafe chapters or sunny trolling kai XD.

Shouldn't the spell be able to identify whoe belongs to who's domain and what their status effect are? That's how they solved LO49 and Soul Devourer

Yes, Sunny resolved to fight without reliance on memories as he became stronger.
That does not mean he should not use memories at all, or that he doesn't. Even then, weaving is still powerful - if only because he can give them to those weaker than himself.

I can understand HIM not using memories, he's more confident in not relying in any external help. What I dislike is him not using his abilities to benefit his cohort more. He has a he most flexible ability out of them all, yet he's refusing to do it. It's like having a factory that can output air purifying masks but not giving them because you have no problem breathing the air.

I cannot put into words how much I agree with you. He can make his cohort so so op, but refuses to make it a priority. With how they'll have to challenge the new nightmare he should definitely arm them to teeth. Even shadow Saint. But author simply glosses over it.

" It took three of them to kill my father, even when they stabbed him in the back. Anvil and Ki Song have already been dealt with. They died too quickly, though... so, I am glad that Asterion cannot be destroyed, as well. He'll long to be able to die, one day soon. "

      They are in fact NOT.

Anvil and ki song killed everyone who knew the name asterion and only kept him at bay to grow their own strength to rule over humanity.

Sunny and nephis are actively guarding humanity. There is literally no other way, but to isolate the victims of a supremes mental attack away from others.

Asterion was rag dolling a saint.. wtf do you think he could do to masters.. awakened.. and especially the mundane

It is the exact same thing. I'm not saying they're the same kind of leaders as song and valor, at the very least they don't stand in the way of sovereignty or sainthood. But information control on that level was the exact same thing those two did.

No it is not. Anvil and ki song were controlling information about a lot of things outside of asterion that wouldve allowed humanity to grow.

Sunny and Nephis are explicitly controlling information that would Literally brainwash people.

They are not the same types of people nor are their actions similar.

Mustache man killing beverages isnt the same as people killing the beverage killers.

Both are killing, one is far more justifiable

            It's all about perspective

Your only trying to justify Sunny because we've been seeing it from his perspective for 2700 chapters

Like this man is thinking of putting people in literal camps. That's insane.

No.. what youre trying to do is demonize what theyre doing.

Are we forgetting what just happened a few chapters ago? Cassies mom's mind was completely taken over by asterion.

That'd be like comparing concentration camps based around race and no other factors to quarantining people infected with the black plague
