    Hm... I just thinking about orphaned shadow thing. If sunny become sacred while being nephis's shadow, isnt she would be bound to sunny too? Like, if sunny die, nephis die? Her own shadow would become meaningless and such. Sacred is nothing sort of literal sense of concept become the law afterall. Her soul, his soul, their lacks coming together and becoming complete. What he feared the most for all this time was merely about his life in the hand of someone else, so with him cannot die, especially when he become sacred, it's not that lethal of a problem actually.

    But all that was just comforting reason though. The real one was probably because he now sure about the chain he picks, whether it would only bad or worse.

    Now, to the matter we have, about Cassie. She is the only one who don't have that much chains binding her. Even now, if there is someone among the cohorts that I have to choose to sacrifice, it would be her. She is that much of a problem.

    The character development has been astonishing. I was mostly reluctant of this development tbh coz ik if it went this route, then definitely a betrayal or a renewed "what happened at the end of crimson spire" Scene would be set in stone.

    Ngl, this is his biggest moment of character development. Giving up his " selfish " desire for freedom for the sake of humanity. And to be remembered by the ones he loves.
