    The problem is, it doesn't only free him from nephis but the world itself. How is being fateless any different from being dead? He will most likely return to the void if he becomes fateless as fate commands past, present and future, so being fateless is same as not being anywhere. So his choices are to either die or stay the way he is, which he had most of the time (he could've committed suicide when there was no one to stop him).
    Think of it this way the universe is a vast ocean of fate so if sunny becomes fateless what would happen? In a natural course of things a drop of blood (fateless) would desolve and become non-existent in a ocean of water (fate) rather than turn it into an ocean of blood

      Being fateless means not being bound by fate. Imagine yourself as a rope every being at some point is connected to each other with their rope, every movement creates ripple and set into motion things that will happen in future. Being fateless is exactly that, not being bound by the ropes, any movement you make does not impact yourself or anybody or the grand scheme of things. You yourself are responsible for everything.
