      Exactly, I still don't understand why he calls them friends. Cassie is practically a stranger to him; she betrayed him, ignores him, and plays her own games. Kai is closer to Effy than Sunny.Effy even told Kai about the pregnancy in advance, and Effy herself constantly makes fun of Sunny. The main character looks extremely pathetic in their surroundings; they don't treat him particularly well. I preferred the dynamic of his team in Antarctica. He was respected and trusted, but now they are ignoring him, wanting to betray him, and using him as a convenient henchman.

        1. they were anchored at the same citadel during chained isles.
        2. they spend time together during the whole half year sunny was in antartica and falcon scott
