    It was a rather bizarre thing to say to someone, that they had been living the same hour over and over again without ever realizing it.

    Now lets say in one of the loops all of the cohort except Sunny dies and he manages to escape the cyclone. But those who died will still be in a loop and have Sunny back and that Sunny somehow manages to bring everyone out of the cyclone, then what would happen? Will everyone else including that Sunny will just mysteriously die after escaping the cyclone? Or would the second Sunny replace the one who had escaped earlier? Or would both the Sunny be alive?

      very paradoxical. right now we are assuming the loop lasts from point a to point b, if you die you will essentially be revived in the next loop without any memories of the past loop.
      if someone does escape the affected region then it would have to either add a copy of that person to the universe when the loop restarts or restart without them.
      because the second option is silly (people just poof away from othes POV as soon as they enter) and the first one doesnt conserve energy i think we have to alter our assumption at the start, for example once someone or something leaves or joins the affected area of the a to b loop it could start a new b to c loop.
      coming back to your question this would mean if everyone dies and sunny leaves then everyone is just dead.
      though i am of course theorizing and we can only confirm stuff once we hear jets and effies side of the story. if this is correct then they should have felt like they were on the island for longer than cassie and nephis (since once the ship with new people enters the "a to b loop" turns into a "b to c loop")
