    He asks dumb questions, the real answer is probably that all you need to do is physically leave the whirlpool. What did the serpent king have?       Ye, but he doesn’t have the ability to swim against the currents, nor to fly everyone off the island and the ship won’t be able to fly for long enough to get them out unless cassie can repair the ship inside the loop which is probably a couple of hours. Whereas it took her and her crew a year to complete it.

          no he can only take small objects with him no living beings. you can argue jet is dead but i think its related to living souls having a living shadow and that he cant take that with him.
