    Hey guys, just curious about something. This is not related to the current chapter at all.

    Has the book mentioned anything about Earth religions? Every character seems to refer to the dreamworld gods, even though it’s known that they are dead.

    I just think it’s weird none of the old religions survived. I’m slightly confused about the culture of this world.

          the Dark Times iirc should be the post apocalyptic hellscape.. and by that point with the world dying, religions and basically everything would just then become a remnant of the past...

          then Spell came and many generations later, i doubt anything would remain.. the similarity to modern era is just probably a natural reoccurrence of old traits from a new society

          of course there still maybe records of past era somewhere on the libraries, but people will obviously have more interest on the spell and getting power themselves, if they survived

      if those religions provided no benefit, then they would fall out of fashion,
      all about the benefits,
      those religions could not provide any benefits, lead to a higher power or fight back so people stopped believing.
