I remember hundreds of chapters ago when we went joking about how soon they will say “It’s just a titan”

Well, they were right, it’s just a fallen titan, no biggie.

I don’t understand how a corrupted devil/tyrant can be weaker can a fallen titan?

Because the ranks and classes have a weird balance between them just cuz a creature is a higher rank doesn't mean it is stronger Than a lower ranked creature who has a high class

It's also situational. Depending on the matchup with elements and the nature of the creatures, it is definitely possible that a fallen Titan could kill a corrupted devil simply due to its Tyrant abilities to lead hordes of other abominations because even with how large the gap is between awakened and corrupted, if you throw thousands upon thousands of creatures at the devil, it would definitely slow it down. The main difference is just firepower. A corrupted abomination would take less damage and deal significantly more, so no matter how harrowing a Titan may be, if its attacks just don't do enough damage to seriously injure its opponent, it's hard to win. I don't really ever see a Titan losing that matchup though, so more likely than not it would lead to it retreating after taking damage.

Seems like there is also a qualitative difference between fallen and corrupted, which would make sense cause saints gain a new ability and are vastly more powerful

Because there’s a qualitative change the higher the class is. There’s a massive gap between the classes Terror, Tyrant and Titan. Just like how Masters can take down a corrupted beings when corrupted is equivalent to a saint. A terror possesses greater intelligence that can command an army or power that can rival one. A Tyrant experiences a qualitative change in terms of its own raw power or the quality of its army. A Titans power becomes more absolute to the point that it can be compared to natural disasters. Think of it like how an army no matter how great the quality of its weaponry and soldier will never be able to rival a tsunami.
