    Judging by the technological advancements so far, if I had to guess the place of this current Earth on the Kardashev Scale, I'd place it at at perfect 1. Or a safe range would be 0.95-1.10.
    Btw if anybody seeing this hasn't come across the term Kardashev Scale, I advise to reasearch it just a little bit. It will be fascinating to learn more about it.

      Yeah, 1 sounds about right. Though we dont actually know much about their energy generation.
      The thing is, not all scifi civs would use solar as energy so you kinda have to equate the output of the sun or suns to however their generating the energy.
      Luckily it gives hard numbers such as 10^26 for type 2.
