    Call me whatever but i still feel loss for shadow serpent the ability to recover shadow essence as he slays creatures was bound to be handy in such uphill battles
    And most disappointing is he didn't even tell rain about his true identity

      I agree. I think he should have given her Saint.
      Serpent fits this battle field more then Saint, what is more , Saint fits Rain more than serpent. She is her idol afterall.
      And maybe rain would learn about sunny by seeing the shadow.

        saint can't turn into a shadow while the serpent can rain simply doesn't have a soul core yet to have an actual echo

        but yeah it's a huge loss serpent would have been op around so many enemies

        It's is easily a quarter of his strength in current situation even half i guess like he would have been significantly stronger with it
        He would be second jet because of being able to recover essence by killing awakened creatures

    As it turned out, shadow essence did not react to Luster's presence at all… which was a big disappointment, considering that Sunny had stripped himself of Serpent's support in order to protect Rain.

      The bell enchantment was a different one. Sunny gave it the [Sonorous] enchantment, which controlled how loud the ringing would be. So it wasnt modifying the bell, just enchantment
