            My guess is that the author isn’t satisfied with his looks and made the system so people get more beautiful.
            Or he took it out from so many other stories. The short story is that the evolution spits out the impurities of humans and they become more beautiful due to it

              Youre reading too much into it about author. Its more likely he made beauty prominent because its what most humans like himself; like. Nothing wrong with it. Beauty is slightly subjective but there are general standards most people abide by.
              Philosophically, hes writing beauty as something that improves the higher you 'ascend' and remove impurities.

              I dont completely agree with this as beauty can be skin deep but if we're talking about physical beauty only? Yeah, it makes sense.
              Put simply, beauty is something we all notice. Author is making it prominent cuz its something he values and is a relatable concept.
