REREADERS ASSEMBLE!
I just noticed something crazy in this chap!

How could they resist a creature that could turn their skill against them, who had faced terrors so vast that most humans would have been driven mad by a mere glimpse of them, and who lived his life wearing countless lies like a mantle?

G3 just used the same words he used to describe Weaver here to describe sunny. there is also no real need for such a description here, that it is a little out of place. he could have just said that sunny is good at feinting and deception but G3 used this specific phrase! what does it mean? Is it foreshadowing? Hiding it in such an inconspicuous place?? and this is the first time he used this phrase in the novel. only later he goes on to use it to describe Weaver in the sin of solace memory description or somewhere else im not sure. is it kind of an easter egg? or is it some kind of slip up by G3?

  The last time I caught up with the ongoing chapters was at the end of the Sovereign war 2200 if I remember correctly.
  Here are some of my thoughts. Through out the entire novel Sunny and Weaver get compared in a lot of ways. The further Sunny progress on his path to Divinity the more he becomes alike to Weaver. He inherits his lineage learns his skills even their desires are alike - to destroy fate.
  I cough some spoilers through this read in the comments, or perhaps I just forgot learning it before since I wasn't to surprised to learn the Nightmares are the direct product of the Dream God himself.
  Here goes my theory:
  In the first nightmare you occupy the body someone who is similar to your current self in more than one regard but ultimately is a different person.
  During the second nightmare you get the body of some who possess similar traits to yourself.
  In the third nightmare you don't get a different body - you travel there with your own.
  I don't remember enough information about the the fourth nightmare but I believe the trend would continue. What if the final one, the one located on the moon won't be an illusion? What if by stepping through the Original Nightmare Seed you will replace someone real, someone you are alike to, during the real events... during the war between the Gods and the Deamons.
  I feels far fetched but my best guess as of now is that Sunny will take the place of Weaver or maybe he was Weaver from the very beginning. Like the River of Time in the Tomb of Ariel their fate always circling trying to find a way out.
  But yeah that is just a theory and I don't think there was any concrete evidence pointing to the finally in the chapters I've read. Maybe G3 haven't decided on the finally, though considering his track record of foreshadowing I doubt that.

This whole arena thing seems pointless. Like theres no real prize for the winner. Its just an endless loop of misery.
I get its for these war god warriors to endlessly test themselves but why? Is this their form of worship for their god?
