        They outright hinted it in the novel that his aspect somehow makes the enemy powerless so it's easy to assume that it's either a mental attack or something to do with the soul essence of the enemy, both of which sunny has protection against, he has the shroud which protects him from mental attacks and his core isn't normal eirher
