I called the bell would come in clutch.

I assume the bell would bring the monster here and sunny would try to escape while hero fought the monster but even then surely after the monster kills hero sunny won't have enough distance.

Sunny… oh Sunny, you poisoned and killed shifty (I am fine with this) but I don’t like that you then said to yourself he deserved it, I would have so much more preferred if you simply justified it with saying "you have to die now so I won’t be killed by the others first” because I’m fine with MC feeling guilt, but his reaction in an attempt to assuage his guilt is to justify it by saying "he deserves it" feels too much like hypocrisy rather than a true selfish will to live which I would have even seen as fair (even if it was lowly of him to do it), lowkey but understandable and should not be faulted for it

And I am incredibly disappointed in Hero for not listening to Sunny when he asked "why not simply go their separate ways," the fact that we don’t understand Hero and their train of thought makes my view imperfect and even foolish, but this series of conversation /plot of Hero killing Sunny seems so wrong /dumb to read and I hope the author fixes Hero's story later on and explains what could have led to Hero refusing to let Sunny be eaten alive by the monster beyond this "sense of responsibility" which I think is irrational for someone like Hero to have (I assume hero will come back in a later nightmare realm because Hero's purpose seems interesting to me and I think we’ll see him later).

And I’ll ignore my view and pretend this section is realistic, then as an outside perspective, I can say Hero attempts to be righteous but lacks the will to let others make a choice for themselves, true righteousness is to guide others, not to force others as Hero does, a true hero saves everyone (and although unrealistic, you don’t kill thieves and murderers, there have been plenty of people who despite doing these acts eventually became good people with proper rehabilitation(and it’s unrealistic because you’d need infinite time to truly save everyone and sadly no one has that), my only exception to "attempting" to save everyone in my mind are rapist (their crime is not worth the time to rehabilitate them in my eyes, their actions are more dark than killing a person and in my eyes are much more difficult to rehabilitate), and ignoring logic i say to justify it to others, my simple view of them is that I simply despise them and I can never forgive them for what they’ve done to people; whether women or men rapist and the hurt they’ve done, but if I continue this rant of mine everything I’ve said before about true righteousness will become blurred and will seem polarizing of me to have this opinion even though I’m trying to make a sound and simple point).

In this very moment Hero was a hypocrite and Sunny (although not as important) was also a hypocrite (but he’s only a hypocrite if you don’t remember that this is a dream realm and everything here is an illusion and not reality), but yeah, Sunny made me uncomfortable here because his train of thought didn’t go down the rational path of survival and leans too much into dirty hypocrisy even though we as readers know it isn’t truly hypocrisy since we see everything from an outsider's perspective, however since Sunny doesn’t see it from the same view as us… so his actions are hypocritical when seen from Sunny's perspective rather than our reader's perspective because of Sunny's flawed reasoning showing himself as actually hypocritical, if Sunny's reasoning was different (like the view of seeing this dream realm as illusion) then I wouldn’t be favoring the view of Sunny being a hypocrit

I’m sorry for any emotional response I had, I tried to be logical because I’ve seen other people arguing about this and this is my attempt to find the middle ground because this section is frankly awkward to understand, i also wanted to talk about hating the system and not the people (/hate the sin not the sinner), but I’ve lost my chance to talk about that now that I wrote this much, any more and this comment would be too long, thank you for listening to my Ted talk.

you will understand as we go on, there are certain things one must do to survive, and other lies one must convince their own mind of to remain sane

But my life… does not belong to me alone. There is an unencompassable duty I am sworn to fulfill. Until it's done, I cannot allow myself to die.

Why is he telling the truth?

"There is nothing more pathetic than a slave who begins to trust his slaver."

Then how pathetic you are, Sunny.

"I don't expect you to forgive me. This sin, too, will be mine to bear. But, please, if you can… find it in your heart to understand. If things were different, I would have gladly faced that monster to let you escape. But my life… does not belong to me alone. There is an unencompassable duty I am sworn to fulfill. Until it's done, I cannot allow myself to die."

Ok guys, just as there are so many re-readers here, I'm one too. So I'd really like to ask anybody re-reading to pls stop spoiling even with the spoiler tags. Ik the story's fun and all but no need to re-establish your feelings again in front of the new readers. You should have commented plenty on your first read, you won't be seen as extra smart by reiterating the obvious circumstances while hiding it behind clever comments. Place urself on the other side and think about how it'll feel if you kept getting soft-spoiled every chapter along the way. So pls stop and don't destroy the further immersion that a first time reader usually gets through their own theories, conjectures and plot prediction. Let them explore.

Thank you bro. Usually I don't mind opening spoilers because they're more likely to be a joke, but the ones here are all real spoilers, big ones at that, and there's so many! I feel like I'm in a minefield pressure
