The life of an Infant Demon is a bloody grind to the top. For Salvos, a curious newborn Demon with a penchant for making friends, surviving the swarms of wild Demons in the Netherworld was always going to be a difficult task. She will adapt, gain experience, and evolve to survive this hellish landscape with the help of her sole companion.

But when her companion’s life is threatened by a mysterious Demon King, she’ll have to do what it takes to save him. Even if it means separating from him and being tossed into an unfamiliar world with Humans, monsters, and a bright blue sky where she is scorned for being born a Demon.

However, the law of evolution is survival of the fittest, and no matter where she is, Salvos will survive.

Do note that it’s a slow-paced but action-packed litrpg! Collapse

This is a very decent novel. The main character is quite enigmatic and her character growth is literally the most rewarding I have seen in any novel. Which is not THAT surprising considering that she is a newborn at the start of the series.

This book is full of adventurous spirit and, in a sense, childish naivety. But it's not an annoying type, I would say it is closer to "purity" or "abscence of prejudice", if you may. I would highly recommend reading this if you are feeling down, gloomy or just exhausted. It might rekindle what's there (and of course it's still there, even if you think of yourself as a moldy hard piece of rye bread).

Obviously, it's not all sunshine and rainbows. Most secondary characters, excluding the "semi-MCs", are pretty flat. Like, they are not bad. They just feel like a brick wall of sorts. I wouldn't call them unique, but I also wouldn't call them trash too. You can say they don't give off any impression at all. When they suddenly pop up, you just feel like "Hey, that's the guy! Whatever, the perspective will shift to MC soon anyway".

As a meticulous reader, it annoyed me that a lot of important fights or events were being resolved through some sort of... I wouldn't call them asspulls, but there most certainly were a lot of moments when stuff just felt like a stretch. Yeah, it's not really impossible, but it's a HIGHLY improbable result that keeps repeating over time.

Worldbuilding is fine. I would even say, quite good. The global scene is always in some sort of action/turmoil, which oftentimes made me wish I (and MC too) could have a break. It's jumping from one pile of shit into another, as I would love to say. Of course, you may look at this and gasp in excitement: "Ah, a perilous adventure!". And indeed it is, untill it keeps happening throughout the whole book. It's as if the plot is always being forced and propelled further and further. Personally, not a fan of that.

All in all though, it's a pretty solid book. If you want to read something that revolves around the MC and is pretty lighthearted (not gritty for sure), you are welcome. Of course, such a characteristic set often describes half-assed junk food novels, but it's not the case here. At least, not fully, haha!
