'Where there is light there shall be darkness'

«Hero? Nahh I’m the demon.»

In a world where the demons are looked on as the incarnation of evil, the human-demon war raged on across the whole continent.

The Seraphims, protector of humanity, and the Demon lords who rule across all demonkind. Amidst all the chaos, Simon was reincarnated as the lowest ranking demon noble.

A brutal world where the strong feeds on the weak, eat or be eaten, kill or be killed. A demon far off from humanity… a dream unfulfilled in his previous life will be achieved in this life. Taking on the moniker of Laplace, he destroys all his enemies and rise over them. Collapse

The pacing is all over the place. Levels up quickly in the beginning then slows down tremendously. Very disappointed. Dropped.

It started off good then went down hill. The dungeon is not really talked about. He only manages it for a few chapter every now and then. The fight are dragged out for longer then they need to and some chapter are just random fillets that you could skip. If your looking for a novel that forces in the dungeon part this novel is not it. Dropped a shot chapter 418

Well i finished reading everything single chapter and in conclusion to what I read don't read this novel. It's garbage. Well first let's talk about mc. He is dense, clueless, lazy, crybaby and idiotic. All this novel is about mc getting beaten black and blue no matter who it is he was beaten to death. normally any mc would get stronger but no this mc nvm he isn't even worth calling an mc. He decided build is house yes house by meaning he dungeon. And what happened next is that again he got beaten vowed to get stronger and then again instead of focusing on himself he focused on the dungeon and again got beaten to death. It kept repeating until 600 chap where he started so called foundation building which is already late. and worse he is a simp a bona fide simp. Is he an idiot he has a girl that can be use to get stronger but instead he made her his lolicon sister wow. And don't get me started to Irene. She is bitch. If it was real life every real men would hate her. And every skinny simp fat simp human would be liking her. Yes they doesn't deserve to be called men or even a boy.

This review is so completely bullshit that I doubt that this guy even read the novel.

He is dense, clueless, lazy, crybaby and idiotic.

He is nothing of all those but naive. He "fixes" his naivety when faced with the cruel reality.
Lazy is literally the last thing I would call Simon. He is extremely hardworking and pushing himself. I don't consider him dense. I won't expect someone to kneel in front of every beauty he meets. He is a little shy at first but since he is a demon that doesn't last that much. The reason he went slow with Irene has to do with her strength and the fact that he really cares about her. He doesn't want to risk their relationship because he is rash. Also, Irene had her own insecurities and problems which resulted in keeping her distance. This very situation is also talked about between the two later down the line. He was a bit clueless and naive at the start but he changes as he experiences various situations. As time passes he becomes more focused and determined to become stronger so he can dictate his destiny. I wouldn't call him idiotic beyond being a bit naive and clueless at the start.

All this novel is about mc getting beaten black and blue no matter who it is he was beaten to death.
This is completely bullshit. The MC consistently faces people above his level and wins 9/10 times. The few times he loses are critical to changing his character. He sheds his naivety and abandons the identity of being human when he is beaten and humiliated. That beating became one of his strongest drives to become stronger. Recently around chapter 742 he actually takes his revenge. Actually, he doesn't get beaten beyond his journey to the human kingdom. After that, he consistently defeats his rivals.

normally any mc would get stronger but no this mc nvm he isn't even worth calling an mc.

This is completely bullshit. In the most recent fight, he beats the shit out of his enemy despite having 200 fewer levels and his enemy being quite talented. The MC is a Sin Holder and his enemy is an individual with an angelic bloodline. So he is definitely strong and on the path to reach the peak of power. He trains constantly and acquires skills that he shouldn't possess at his level so he can further level them up when he increases his noble rank.

He decided build is house yes house by meaning he dungeon.

A dungeon is more than just a house. A dungeon is a part of himself and represents his essence. The stronger the dungeon grows the more powerful he becomes directly. The resources that his dungeon produces are a bonus. Also, his potential and personality influence the dungeon.

And what happened next is that again he got beaten vowed to get stronger and then again instead of focusing on himself he focused on the dungeon and again got beaten to death.

A demon with or without a dungeon is completely different. Developing his dungeon is one of the most important things he can do. The very reason he can have such strength is due to the resources the dungeon produces.

It kept repeating until 600 chap where he started so called foundation building which is already late.

How is it late? The skills he needed to build his foundation are next to impossible to acquire on a lower level. Besides he already had a relatively strong foundation. He just lacked formal training from someone knowledgeable. Which he gets from Irene. It has also been repeatedly said that Demon Earls are a dividing line for demons. He started his foundation training before becoming an Earl. So how was it late??

worse he is a simp a bona fide simp.

He isn't. He acts perfectly normal around women.

Is he an idiot he has a girl that can be use to get stronger but instead he made her his lolicon sister wow.

The reason he declared her his sister is due to the fact that she has just lost all her family and a lot of her compatriots. She was emotionally broken. By becoming her brother he sought to help her heal. We see how she got better as days passed and interacted with each other. Sure he could potentially abuse her and control her like she is some tool but he isn't such a person. Also considering her identity any person who attempted to do so would be dead due to Aldebaran. Nonetheless, Cecilia does help Simon quite a lot. Just the mystical veins and heart veins she helped redirect to his dungeon are of immense value. Not to mention the mana trees and all the other plants she grew. The Serenity Pond is one of the most important parts of the Dungeon to Simon. Without Cecilia, the Pond wouldn't have been as valuable. And this is when she hasn't fully awakened her bloodline. She is only going to get more important. You are probably forgetting that she is a child and awakening her bloodline will bring a lot of dangers. So having her slow down is important when Simon lacks the strength to protect her.

And don't get me started to Irene. She is bitch. If it was real life every real men would hate her. And every skinny simp fat simp human would be liking her. Yes they doesn't deserve to be called men or even a boy

She was suddenly summoned from a different space and time while having forgotten most of her memories. At the same time, something is influencing her emotions. It is only logical to act the way she did at the start. Besides I said before she has a heart-to-heart talk with Simon later down the line and resolved a lot of their issues.

it's gonna be short and simple. what is the name of this novel? it's Dungeon-of-pride-Laplace. so you can already guess that's the protag is non-human. and yes as a demon his attribute is pride. the problem comes now. as a pride demon this mf don't even have p of pride. i started feel nauseous since that jade f#cking beauty phoenix appeared.

Review:2/10, 2 is for world building nothing else.

This story pisses me off. The story started great but after some time mc starts talking crap about being a human even when he is not a human rather a demon. I don’t know why the hell would author even want to make the mc a demon. Just another shitty novel with non human mc sprouting about humanity. Also why would the author think that anyone would like the change, I mean if someone read till ch 70, why would he suddenly be any the mc to change. Disappointed.

You are exactly the guy I mention in my comment below. Pathetic.

For other people reading his comment , he is spouting pure bullshit. Don't believe a shred of his comment. Just read further down the novel. Chapter 359 (All Thoughts to Darkness) to Chapter 365 (All Thoughts to Darkness (5)) showcase perfectly how the review of @Arcyroxx is just plain dumb. Honestly people really need to stop characterizing a whole novel just from a fraction of it. It is okay to not like it but trying to dissuade others from reading it based on pure horse shit is totally not cool.

Bruh you are the kind of guy with a virgin thinking. Expecting people to read 300+ chapters just to wait for the good part.

You are of those dumb people expecting everythig to be hand shown to them and hold things to the same standard when they are clearly different.

You read 70 chapters and complain why the MC tries to retain his human part. Are you willfully ignoring the fact that he had been human for like 99% of his combined life? Not even that , you go on to complain about a completely normal thing. Let's be honest most normal people from our modern society would try to do the same thing. Most of them would also probably die due to that.

This is called character development. It comes through actions and events that impact the character in question. This happens in stages. You can't expect that out of nowhere he is going to act completely different. The author has done a great job with his plot development pace. Not slow nor fast considering the scale of the novel. As I said previously this isn't a short story. Expecting the same chapter pace with one is simply idiotic. Has in any place the author claim that this is a short story ? No place that I am aware. So stop having stupid expectations.

The virgin reader here is you when you clearly can't comprehend the fact that the author can't present everything in the first 70 chapters of a 700+ chapters novel without a lot of things going terribly wrong. Even if he did that , you would still be complaining for blocks of text and info dump.
