The way of a Demon Lord - since the beginning of time, countless demons dreamt of it but few dared to tread on it, and even fewer reached its end. But the rarest of them all were some special demons who were not allowed to step on it, because if they were to become a Demon Lord- even the other lords would have to bow their heads.     It's such a good novel in my opinion. I finally found a demon that sticks to his true nature. The main character is very devious, dark, merciless and evil. I find the war between the empire and the federation very exciting, there are many variables in both camps, spying, treason, sabotage and many more. All in all, it's very eventful. I loved the power scaling system, it's definitly original and quite simple. If it's about magic and circlers i'm always in. Nevetheless, there are still some other sources of power we haven't dived into yet. Like the MC's eyes, probably a peculiarity related to demons. So we still don't know how demon's power scaling works. The relationship between Adrian and his "mother" is weird i must say, but i'm raring to read more of their interactions in the future chapters since it's one of my favorite things in this novel. I find it complicated because Adrean was summoned from his "mother's" wish to have a loving progeny. Then the demon supposedly took over the kid following that strong wish. My way of understanding it is that Emilia sort of sacrificed her baby son (without realising it) to receive Adrian's love (from the things she suffered with her family, the girl just wants to build her own loving family). That's how it works, if you want a demon's service, you gotta make a sacrifice. But here's the question, does Adrian feel love ? Yeah, i know it's complicated, he's a demon after all. That's just my speculation, don't mind it. Anyway, i sincerly thank the author for dropping this gem, he's done some awesome work, so i appreciate him for that. Keep it up !

            For anyone who plans to start 'Dungeon Defense WN', do note that there is a Tragedy tag and it has one of the most depressing endings i have ever read, so be wary if you ever plan to start it...
            It starts off good but from the middle to the end it's constant Ls for MC and everyone around him...

            I was expecting a strong minded mc but he was a 'weak' one who couldn't handle the things he did to survive and became a ptsd ridden patient burning the world...
            If you want a wish fulfilment type novel where mc does not hesitate to achieve his goal, this starts like that but becomes very deep psychological issues kinda thingie by the end, so beware if you dislike depressing/tragic stories...
