    He stared at her for a moment, the Godqueen unable to maintain her serious expression as she broke out in a big grin. “I’m messing with you. No way I would ever go so low as to bless a crossbow user.”

    Jake let out a loud sigh. “Oh, good... I was afraid our relationship would have had to end here because of irreconcilable differences.”

    “Totally understandable, that is a valid deal-breaker,” Artemis chuckled, before a thought struck her, and she looked at Jake. “Guns?”

    “Glorified wands,” Jake answered without a moment’s hesitation.

    Artemis nodded as the two made eye contact, Jake once more getting confirmation he had indeed caught a good one.

    This story is so weird all the side characters of this story has more depth than the MC itself

    I could see myself be more happy if the protagonist was old swordsman, viper, golden forest king etc.

    I hate this bajillion year old god queen acting like a teenage on a first date routine. Smh. Plus Jake just jumps into a serious relationship immediately. It was so weird for the story. So out of character. Just a weird part of the story. But hopefully when she gets killed off maybe he’ll go around killing a bunch of folks lol.

      Said the same things earlier. This whole relationship thingy is just too inconsistent with the story. Plus everyone is behaving like a teenager except the Old Swordsman who would make a better MC tbh.

      It’s always bout Jake, his Jake juice, how oh so grand he is, his defiance against authority and how said authority loves it, gods gossiping like mortals and the Artemis-Jake interactions are just cringe

        Hey, but Stormid is much older and childish, then there's the old swordsman who isn't actually that old but acts like one, and finally, you see Jake behaving like an old man in, I don't know, a thousand years? From the perspective of immortality, you really can't tell how a person would act.
