    FCK, you have access to one of the most powerful forces in the immortal world. Ask for 1 or 2 fcking history books, in order to not look like a fcking moron. At least that way you'll have the minimum of common sense of the real world and not fcking novels from Earth as reference (which you take as truth because you don't wanna go out, and your only source of informations are the short systems notifications about your friends/enemies) .

        If you have used your (very) limited number of braincells before writing your poor attempt of trying to be a smarta** you, hopefully, would've realized that an imperial court and a sect are very different types of organizations with very different organizational structures. That's without even accounting for how big of a role does the Heavenly Court play in the context of the Heavenly Dao at least, and how much fcking PROVIDENCE (you know, the title of the fcking story) the status of Heavenly Emperor provides compared to just that of a sect leader, regardless of how big the sect may be (again, in the context of the Heavenly Dao).

        I get that the story doesn't explain in much detail how providence works, how it affects cultivation and it, directly or indirectly, gets downplayed through Han Jue regarding its importance, but providence in the context of cultivation in the Heavenly Dao it's a pretty big fcking deal, and one of, if not the most amount of providence (under the position of Sage) you can get is by being the Heavenly Emperor.

        Now that we know why providence is such a big fkn deal we can deduce that no sane individual would willingly step down from the position of Heavenly Emperor unless they achieve Sainthood, in which case the position of Sage will provide more providence than that of Emperor. That leads to the conclusion that unlike in other organizations where the previous leaders may have stepped down from their positions for one reason or another in the Heavenly Court that ain't happening. Pretty much the only way a new Heavenly Emperor is appointed is if the previous one either ascended as Sage (at which point he can no longer directly attack lower level plebs in the Heavenly Dao) or if he died. So we can see why the Heavenly Emperor is the strongest in the Heavenly Court and doesn't have any living "ancestor" leg that he can hug when it gets cold. If he wasn't the strongest in the Court he would be fkn dead, killed by someone stronger who wants access to all that sweet, sweet providence.

        Plus, as I said in the previous comment he has direct access to the Heavenly Emperor, which views him very favorably so he could have just asked for a fcking jade slip with all the general information regarding the upper realm, instead of blindly guessing and assuming.

        You see how much reasoning a dumb r*tard like me can do with just 2 minutes at his disposal, a bit of general knowledge regarding cultivation stories and mythology (which Han Jue claims he has), and just common sense?

        So, I may be a retard, but you sir surpass me so much that it's not even a competition.

      And I don't blame you. There are so many people in this novel now its hard to keep track of who everyone is lol. Anyways, Murong Qi was the Divine Palace's Profound Truth Divine Emperor and he got betrayed by the Divine Palace, if I remember correctly. MC didn't want to accept him originally cause he was thought he was too much trouble but he did the kowtowing thing for many years and he got accepted into the mountain as Ginseng's discipline. You don't really need to know what the background for MC's disciplines, just think of them as protagonist level characters and that should be enough cheerful
