This daoist practices the Great Dao of MTL. He reads a lot, and 90% of what he reads is either completely or almost completely in a language he doesn't know. If the novel has a sequel and he's reached the end of the translation, there's a 99% chance that this daoist will embark on a journey to conquer the original/MLT with the help of his loyal companion, the Auto-Translator browser. Since English is not this dao's native language, everything he reads on this website will be translated automatically (including MLT).

It starts off great as a parody to traditional cultivation novels, Han Jue is just cultivating and ignoring everything around him. He's afraid that if he can't destroy his opponent instantly that he will be killed instead, even when the system tells him he has an 80% chance of victory. Then there's some shenanigans with a curse book, peak shamelessness. You get to experience the world building through the misfortune and misadventures of peripheral characters. Sadly the novel begins to unravel midway through.

After MC achieves the sage realm and the story becomes more and more of a generic cultivation novel. The author introduces more and more powerful side characters with bland personalities. His son is born a freedom sage, which took MC 500 chapters to obtain, and despises everyone not family. MC gains an ability to just enslave enemies, earlier in the novel he was torturing an enemy because they hated him. The enemy realised that Han Jue could see his feelings so decided to switch sides and the torture stopped and suddenly he became a disciple. Fewer and fewer whimsical moments like these appear in the latter half. Han Jue no longer cowering at those weaker than him but boldy proclaiming himself as the leader of the heavenly dao truly loses the soul of the novel.

Overall I would recommend the first part of the story up until the immortal world arc.

(Borrowing your Review)This is EXACTLY what I wanted to write. The first ~60% of the story are peak (roughly until he reaches the sage realm, with his abuse of the Curse Book being basically the final peak) afterwards the story becomes bland and less memorable.

The MC becomes a complete background character, no real danger, no stakes, no more further character development, no more proper expanding on the magic system(everything becames vague, conceptual -> without being philosophical, just vague and without substance), no proper world building. Everything that made the story special is now gone. After the Sage realm we have 8 realms in 500 chapters BUT all of them I kid you not are just different reskins for "Heavenly Dao Creator Level 1 - 8" The worst part is that the MC is literally absent for most of the 2nd half of the novel, he has no agency, no goals, he does nothing except react and resolve any problem instantly every couple of dozen chapters when he appears for once after a long time of basically side-character garbage without any substenance (AND I usually LOVE Side-Stories)

But the first half of the story IS DEFINETLY WORTH it!!!! There is also a Manhua which carries most of the humour with a perfectly suitable (and unique) art style! The story is basically complete after reaching sage realm anyway.

      EDIT:
      4/5 Stars Total
5/5 Stars for first half only (2/5 for the second half)

The first few chapters are great, seems like a parody of the cultivation genre. MC is given a godly talent but refuses to show off and shys away from any dangerous situation. Character offers him a cultivation technique, he knows that he'll only be used as a cultivation furnace and rejects the offer immediately.

    top kek/10

The first chapters are read fluently. However, in the middle, the novel becomes boring and boring. The author is just running out of ideas for the original character development and everything is going according to a rough script just to gain volume - I do not recommend reading, it's better to read something like The Mad Immortal.
