    I think if you wanna read this novel without getting dissapointed, you should consider this world as a place where women can have more men and they can f#ck whoever they want whenever they want. Like how their counterparts can f#ck around all they want. But it's not to mean that men and women are equal. Clearly women are inferior here. I can see that as the most irritating part for some since widows are directly sold as slaves if not remarried. There's much worse but i won't go deeper on that. Even the MC isn't left out so i can understand some readers getting disgusted. What can i say, even women love sex you know. although here, married women love sex a bit too much as it is a form of trade for resources too(the MC's mother for example or his aunt). I admit that it's more the commoner women that sell themselves for ressources. In the noble circle it's look down on unless you're of higher position and ask a noble woman of lower position for her services in exchange of something. It's a peculiar world the author created, not your everyday pick, so it's quite original and unique.
