    I've read what's available, and honestly I really like it. reader The TL is solid, the pace is good, the characters are all distinct, and the world-building is quite decent too. welldone

    The MC isn't the highlight of this story- he plays a central role, certainly, but this novel focuses a lot on his 'human tools', and it's all the better for it. The pace could be improved a little - Chen Qianxue's segments of the story are already getting a bit dull, but the introduction of the new character makes it more palpatable.

    The concept this is about plays out really well, and I can't wait to see where it goes. More twists will have to be introduced so it doesn't get too stale, so this might fall off after ~150ish chapters, but the 40 here are solid. ehh

    The comedy is done nicely, as is the relationship between the characters, though very little of that currently exists. The dialogue is written well, most events seem reasonable and logical, and I'm really curious to see how this goes forward.

    All in all, I'd say this is a solid 7/10 currently. It's not ground-breaking, but it's a fun read and easy to get into, and it has a lot of potential for the future. bow

        No way to tell, honestly. His two human tools are females, but his policy is to stay away from them as far as he can, and they don't even know he exists. If this changes in the future, iunno, but my guess would be that this isn't a harem. It's unlikely it will even have a romance for the MC.

      The great thing about this concept is that it can be KEPT fresh almost indefinitively by simply having the 'human tools' reroll their starting point in the simulation.
      Right now, by chp 130 which is the latest properly translated chapter out (myboxnovel) , we have three 'human tools', two of which rerolled once and the third has yet to do so, so we get to see:
      Goddess #1: First as an average poor girl starting point that goes to join a low level and then mid-level Sect. Then as the youngest daughter of the local Dynasty Emperor.
      Goddess #2: First as a rando, then as THE CLASSIC wuxia protag that starts in an average Clan, is very talented, finds a necklace that absorbs her cultivation, is then treated as Trash, and eventually gets a Old Teacher spirit in the necklace and ready to take the world by storm. (though without Plot Armor, so she gets killed fast and often)
      Goddess #3: We see her live as a Spirit Beast that gathers her minions, and eventually human refugees to make her own little hidden city and then kingdom.

      By chp 210ish, which is the latest MTL chap, we get all the girls "playing" together until they beat the simulation (which presumably implies that they will all have to reroll new lives next).

    So far this seems like an easy bookmark since who knows when more chapters will get translated. My review of this novels seems like a lower quality twist on Top Tier Providence. I don't think this is bad, but these are prone to really losing their way after a while. I think this is a decent 'break novel' where you just binged a hardcore novel and you need a real simple palate cleanser to turn your mind off to, before moving to something better. While there is only 40 chapters, the great thing is no huge turn offs yet and with 1 trope being gently introduced it seems like there is going to be a lot of funny trope stories where the 'side' characters will be simulating them like in others did in Top Tier Providence.

      Seems highly unlikely this will get picked, unfortunately. Webnovel readers are insane, and webnovel itself cares little for the voting system, though this does basically rank at the very bottom of the voting pool currently. Unsurprisingly, a lot of the stuff above this is garbage. Damn shame, too.

          40ch novels that are dumped like this are usually trial reads from Webnovels. Trial reads are basically a system implemented by Webnovel where 40 chapters from many novels are translated and published, and then readers get to vote for whichever one they like the most.

          Technically speaking, the most voted-for novels are then translated further by Webnovel themselves. Truthfully speaking however, Webnovel has a history for disregarding the votes entirely, and even if the votes themselves are taken into account, the readers on Webnovel aren't exactly known for their eye for quality.

          It's basically a hot mess, much like the rest of Webnovel.

          He's weak as of chapter 40, the FML is stronger than him but i imagine it won't be for long, and no he profits more than the FML, but she puts in more work, he's just lazy and opportunistic. You might like it if you're into the MC basically taking advantage of others while doing nothing, but i'm more into hard-working MCs than anything else, like the MC of Fantasy Simulator, which is the novel i think this is based on.
