The Arc of Alchemy is disappointing, it's a work I started reading as soon as it came out, but it's getting boring.

it seems this technique got very bland! after going up. sigh, I am saddend i have to drop this scripture now.

If I have to summarise it in a word I would call it disappointing. It's not bad in any way, but I just went in with different expectations. I was expecting to see someone like Han Jue where he just sits around cultivating like the genius that he is, instead there is unnecessary secret realm exploring and herb finding.

It's different and not in any way bad, it's just my expectations were a bit different. I was expecting some confident genius dude who breaks through and is better than the disciples but ended up with an insecure senior brother character who has higher cultivation and just wants friends and not abandoned.

It's good and gives the mc a more humane character instead of some god dude. But still, a bit disappointed... I actually really like the slice of life stuff and slow story progression though so that's cool I guess.

I read up to chapter 230 or so and at this point, I'm just annoyed at how there is no real peaceful vibe to the cultivation in this novel. The author has this weird sense of humor which makes me feel dumb for reading the book. . Random 100-year-old people running around in an apparently 'unbefitting manner' is I guess what constitutes humor for the author(I read this same joke 3 times which is 3 times too many). It's just bland humor which just makes me annoyed. Humor based on incompetence is just bland and boring

Incredibly slow story progression, perhaps not enough focus on the 'cultivating disciples' part of the title and sometimes entire chapters are just filler information.

However, if you can stand that, it's quite a nice slow-burn story. Nothing huge ever happens, the MC just kind of gets stronger and him or his disciples occasionally go on adventures. If you're after face slapping, restaurant fights and tournament arcs, then this probably isn't the story for you

e: it's a little bit of a shame it's in English, which means you can't just google to find an MTL of it - you'll have to deal with a slow upload speed on top of the slow story progression.

I have read 144 chapters.
VERY BORING ROMANCE.
what can be written in 4 chapters, the author wrote in 15 chapters.
If you managed to read the novel "The Lord of Secrets", then feel free to read this work. (Personally, I was able to read over 200 chapters.)

It's average. Tries very hard to be funny, and it's very in-your-face, but it's not entirely obnoxious. Reads like satire or bad fan-fiction. Not bad, not good- won't continue reading, as I simply just don't like it enough.

The book is boring. This is the shortest book description I can think of. This book tries to ridicule some of the well-known plot moves of cultivator stories, but it does it without a twinkle.

The writing language is normal.
The characters are normal, some are even good.
The protagonist is generally normal, although sometimes he acts like an underdeveloped moron.
The world is normal.
I have read 220 chapters and I cannot say that it was not pleasant for me to read.
But I just got bored. Endless water with descriptions of numerous characters and inserts from them. It would be very cool if these characters had at least some meaning or were themselves something interesting. But no.
And the stupidity of the protagonist did not please me too much. He's not like a moron. Sometimes he acted very cleverly. But at the same time, an adult cultivator, an immigrant soul from our world is completely devoid of selfishness, cunning, self-respect, impudence, pressure, charisma, life experience ... He is literally a poor elder in a sect where even useless riding animals are overwhelmed with resources. Moreover, he is one of the strongest in the sect. How so?
At the same time, again, in some situations he played himself very worthy.

I will not advise or criticize. Personally, my books lacked an interesting plot, humor, action. But someone may be just right.

Есть два минуса: много воды и долго ; проблема с цифрами сначала секте 5000 лет, потом 1500, рудник возник 500 лет назад, потом 80 лет назад. ЗАраждающия души живут 1000 лет, потом изменили на 2000. (что на мой взгляд много для четвертой сферы).
если брать сектостроение (но тут главное его ученики), то это очень хорошо т.к лидирующая работа. в других новеллах только сухие цифры, а здесь чувствуется душа, и прям проникаешь духом секты, как все изнутри и под другим взглядом
