Tree of Aeons by Spaizzer

after reading the reviews, I never expected this to be one of the best novels
For me, this is what a 'real' novel is, at the level of The Legendary Mechanic, Supreme Magus, The King's Avatar, Overlord (LN)
The authors really create a world, while other novels are just fantasy, that's how I feel

This novel is breath of fresh air. Read this novel for the sheer quality. 5 months and still reading never gets old.

Don't know why it has such high ratings, but the story gets really repetitive if you read ahead.

I don't really like the MC, he acts like naive idiot who cannot comprehend the consequences of his actions. The girls aren't really really good either and it's got one f#cking annoying chick(she needs to die)

In short the world building is good, but MC ruin's the fun for me.

It's pretty good but you gotta know what you're getting into. This is INHUMAN MC kingdom building story. This is pretty high tier as far as kingdom building goes, the only reason why I'm not treating this as top tier is because it doesn't scratch that itch that usual kingdom building does (like Release that Witch). Still, this is a pretty novel take on kingdom building and progression fantasy.

I stopped reading a good way in. I expected him to have some way to move eventually but… no, no way to move. I know he’s a tree, but imagine having to watch an mc sit in place and try to micromanage a little town(poorly at that, where I’m at he basically leaves the work to everyone else) while not really focusing on the other characters that actually do anything either. Also mc is just an asshole. Not evil, not good, his personality is literally the embodiment of a childish asshole. He lets everyone else do the work yet when they ask for something he just basically goes “hmm, I dunno, kinda too lazy to do that for you or I really don’t have enough personal feelings to do that, sorry not sorry.” I genuinely started to hate the mc and his way of treating his people after a while, so I dropped it.

Started off good however just takes a turn for the worse MCs iq somehow degraded and bro legit let someone who tried to control him live , people taking over his land and making a village there claiming its their land then plotting against mc right in front of him he lets them live a few druids come in , he knows druids can control tree spirits so what does he do lets himself be f#cked over and still doesn't punish them , just trash

Very very good start but just goes down hill when mc starts being stupid, the two heroes soul came along, and when the druids try taking control of the mc and like goddamn he did not even give them punishment for tryng to take control of him.

I tried not to listen to the negative reviews but in the end i became one of them

Edit: had nothing to read and so be it i read it till the latest chap welp its quite good if you turn of your brain and dont question anything maybe ill rate it as a 4/5
