As the system initializes, the world shifts. Geography is rearranged and mixed, and levels and stats are instituted across the globe.

On that night, one young man was walking through an underground tunnel, his mind on the small problems of his easy life. Because of his location during the shift, he starts in a dungeon far above his level, with no knowledge or teacher, or Newbie Village to guide him.

Without a class, he struggles simply to survive in this world changed by its new connection to the Nexus.

But struggle he will, for he is Randidly Ghosthound, and this is only how his legend begins…

Author’s Note:

This started as a way to destress and play with overly complicated stats systems and level systems, and I just kept writing. I don’t really take it very seriously, but feel free to read and enjoy. Collapse

Take a month break after chapter 1000 and a week break every ~100 chapters after that bc it gets really dense and if power through it, you'll get mentally fatigued really quickly.
^Not applicable for everyone, take breaks once you're getting bored, this is just my framework for reading this while still enjoying it.

More or less. It's always full throttle will something he needs to grind desperately towards. There really aren't any chill chapters, so you need to take a break to get rid of some mental fatigue. It makes you appreciate how mentally strong the MC is bc he lives through everything we read over a much longer time span. The book's really good though. 5/5 imo

The only problem that I have with this novel is the name Randidly Ghosthound it is a mouthful other than that it’s pretty good

One of the first and best system novels. I read up to chapter 800 I think, plenty of good times.

The chapter lengths are Amazing, so those 800 chapters were like 1600 Chinese chapters.

But as the story went on, more and more characters came along, and author focused too much time on them, sometimes for so long, I even forgot who the MC was.

Read it, it’s good. You slowly lose interest , then put it away. If you did excessively deep world building including that of the side characters, you will love this.

At the time this came out, it was the front runner of its system variant. It was well written and it was fun to read. The world building was decently fleshed out, characters were fairly well developed, the system was interesting and it was an overall good read.

But, that didn’t last long (comparatively considering the sheer length of the story). As has been mentioned in other reviews, the story gets incredibly convoluted and we see entire arcs of non MC POVs. POVs that don’t really matter too much in the sense of the overall story. MCs growth also kinda peters out and he often seems to go on tangents especially with a lot of filler content. The story itself just becomes a slog to read through instead of fun and it’s at that point you know, it’s just no longer worth it. Fun while it lasted but easily droppable once you bored enough.

So maybe give it a try? I guess new readers will like this far more and last longer than more experienced ones.

An experienced reader, so what do you recommend reading? I'm not saying that this is the best story, just that all other stories are boring compared to it. or I just don't know how to search...

It really depends on personal taste doesn’t it? If you’re new I’d recommend reading the stories people usually complain being ‘cliche’ or formulaic since those two won’t really apply to new readers.

Also don’t put too much trust in Webnovel ratings as the majority of them are pretty bullshit (unless they’re sub 3.5, which implies it’s mostly shit). I guess look through reading lists etc from novelupdates? People there at least collate the decent ones together.

          Thank you for advice.
yes, the problem is that I am not a new reader and it is very difficult to find a well-developed story. to be honest, more than one story did not catch me, which were in the popular ratings of this site and webnovel. Since you, like me, have read this story, I thought that you could recommend some good stories

A lot of decent system stories that are on RRL in the popular listings like Azarinth Healer. A lot of good Gamer fan fiction on fan fiction.net. Recently the story and translation quality of new joins to Webnovel has been continuously falling. I’ve enjoyed Starting with Contract pets for a pets novel as other ones that have come out around the same time have been horrendous. Also found Losing Money to be a Tycoon quite amusing.

I read Martial World as my first cultivation novel and its one of the best cultivation novels in my opinion because author is not repeating the plot like in some other novels and I like mc personality too he was kinda naive in early chapters but later found out that he need to be ruthless and from then it was really good

Well, 5-6 years ago I also read Chinese stories with passion, but now I usually quit immediately after a couple of chapters.
although there are exceptions, a well-developed story called "Lord of the Mysteries".

The one above already made a review that encapsulated my feelings on this novel but as an add-on I'd like to say that you should only read this if you're prepared to be frustrated with the later chapters

This novel... Ah, the good and bad times I've had with it. This is one of the most controversial but also well-known novels on a site known as Royal Road. It's incredibly popular but the author is known for, in later chapters, making the story rather convoluted and confusing. I'd still give it a go, even if it's only to read the first 20-30 chapters. Don't expect a fast power-up as the MC, Randidly (weird f'n name, hey?), takes a while to learn things.

I read this back on royal road ages ago, it was enjoyable and I like the premise but the further into the story the more convoluted the plot. If you want a more in-depth enjoyable read this is good until later since I never finished it as it was still being written so I cannot tell you. But if you want a light, easy novel this isn't it
