This is a relaxed kind of novel, almost a slice of life. The MC's system lets him "play games" by sending him to various points of the world he is in to meddle for a good outcome. Once he completes the game, it either becomes history or present reality. He adopts personas to complete the main and side quests of the games such as - escort someone to safety, investigate a place, rescue a person, etc. Now, they all link together in one whole plotline involving the history and present which the MC, his acquaintances, and sect are embroiled in. The author clearly knows where his novel is going and every scene has been planned into one apparently seamless story.

I'm finding the characters and world building to be interesting and lively. Think Imperial china, sects and noble families but demons, evil cultivators, and dangerous regions just across the borders. The MC doesn't exist in a vacuum. The MC is not OP, though his cultivation is decent and it's not a martial arts action novel. It's more of a xianxia with daoism type cultivation. MC is an otaku, a decent fellow and not an idiot, though his communication skills seem a bit lacking to me.

I'm 325 chaps in, no harem but maybe potential love interests so far. An annoying little sister that's in his sect to pester and gossip. The story hasn't fallen off at all, which is the weakness of the system genre in general, if anything it is improving. I'm enjoying the novel thus far, I'd give it a 4.5/5 at this point.

The Story goes Crazy. Btw the MTL is super-readable, much like the crap thrown around by Numbered TLs. It might even be better, Very few instances of Swapping of genders(he/she, etc) and Pretty normal sentence structure, there will always be names which are not translated to ENG, but many are consistent with actual Hand TL

Tested and approved novel. I didn't expect much from this novel, but man, think of a great novel.

The characters have personality, I won't say all of them because the work is still in its early stages, but they are lived and give you valuable content and a somewhat mysterious world, where we will discover things with the protagonist as he plays his little game. 8/10 so far.
