    I don't know why the rating is so low here. I've read this on nu before, it's pretty good. Certainly not a masterpiece, but a solid 7/10. And most of the reviews over at nu seem to agree with me, don't be so hasty to draw conclusions based on what you see; for what you see isn't all there is

        A weird amount of people actually do that. I once saw someone review something on Webnovel saying it sucked because the MC is a goody two shoes, and when people questioned them, they admitted that they didn't actually read it because they "could tell it was stupid.". 

        The funny part is that the part of the synopsis that made the MC a "goody two shoes" was him sacrificing his life for his wife and child. I also saw another person who admitted it after leaving a bad review where they said the "MC was too weak," and after the author confronted them, they said they hadn't read it and that they just didn't like the genre. People are crazy.

      Not really, the MC is quite good and even the supporting characters are useful, there's also some plot twist being prepared, like it may be predictable, but at least it's different from the cliches. Also his "family" isn't entirely hopeless and the father is the best father I have ever seen in these kinds of novels.

      Probably is the MC that reincarnated and he was a sort of assassin/spy in his previous life, this ain't a spoiler, you notice it quickly with some things he does. Though I like that he just used some skills, he didn't go full on that path and even the novel isn't forcing him to show his skills just cuz he has them.
