    Early on it was a bit oddly written or translated and some details didn't seem to make sense but now I'm caught up and it's a completely fine 5/10-ish cultivation story but nothing about it stands out.

    My main problem would be that the pacing is odd and a bit too much happens to the main character off screen (page?) like his trials to join the sect or him suddenly being an alchemy expert who can also craft items yet at the same time sometimes the formation/cultivation descriptions are overly wordy and filled with the usual mystical language that ultimately mean nothing to the reader.

    It just feels a bit bland and needs interesting characters who can bring some emotion to the story.

          He does have plot armor but unlike in other Cn novels where the mc is always a junior as his cultivation grows, he is regarded as an old monster. But his talent is ordinary for the entire novel and he has no old monster in a ring or even a system.
