          Bruh too childish you say? I want to know what you consider manly than huh. And the plot is confusing because many tropes he uses are classic in wuxia and xianxia thus new readers will be scratching their heads sometimes. It ain't that confusing though.

        Not sure what exactly is not liked in here, but from my perspective the issue could be that the story starts off quite light hearted, but quickly spirals down into a very deep rabbit hole and ends up being a completely different story as initial chapters might have portrayed.

        This kind of writing style is used quite alot on Authors other works as well. Where, plot starts out lighthearted and suddenly it throws in a dark twist or two that you would not otherwise expect, but it is explained and done well enough that if you keep reading you will understand more of it and it would make sense.

        MC is quite well designed Anti-hero character with problems and issues of his own so the story at least has very good direction. PS it is not mentioned in the beginning of the story, but will naturally be discovered as you read further on.

          Have to agree with others who reply here, its not really getting cucked and more like other way around and even then its not really cucking. (as most of the cases there was no significant relationship to be had, it was implied that if MC was not there perhaps those women would have fallen in love with that or this character, but because MC is around as a second and better option women prefer him instead) and then the character who thought he had it in the bag when females did not have such feelings is feeling butthurt :)

          Imagine a situation .. a girl you know but dont have any feelings for is going out with a guy and having a relationship .. is that consider you getting cucked ?

          I believe people assume that any female character is meant to be only had by MC.
