Worst story ever! Read until ch-160. Its not worth it.
The plot is good at start but at academy arc it is simply shit!! First you say that you have to study in academy and learn the uses and then you simply beat everyone of your peers and battle everyone and graduate in 1 month. Like what the F**k and where the hell is his maid. You idiot and stupid author.

The author ruined the novel by pasting a complete different novel into it
From runes to f#cking beast taming.
Even the plot became nonexistent
All that character development for nothing

I am wondering the same thing....like they call it rune world and all but main part of using runes is taken out....did the author did it deliberately "coz he is already got god level runes and if he increase there's no point is the novel" or " he can't think of interesting plots with runes so continued with beast taming.... I really hope the author brings back rune abilities back

Umm is it just me or have they forgot that they can use runes because after he became a beast master at the academy, they just dont use the runes any more like they don’t exist and idk why.

It seems like a good idea, though the grammar isn't great, as if it has been translated by an amateurs translator; it mixes up gender nouns frequently and has other simple errors. I'd understand if it were a translation but as far as I'm aware it isn't (if anybody knows otherwise then I apologize for the confusion)

This is a copy of concept where DC Zatana cast magic by saying english words in reverse and someone ask her, why she is so fast and she said her native language is English reverse.

Shock! The Spell is in English is a story about a man transmigrating into the body of an individual in a medieval-esque world where runes allow for people to create powerful spells. He comes to in this world and is automatically given a system that allows him to create basically any spell he can think of in English.

I'm going to be harsh so if you don't like that, I apologise.

Characters: ⭐

I can not fathom just how poorly these characters are written. The MC is a brawny, brain-less, perverted individual with absolutely no personality. We get less than a one paragraph description of him before he's off, galavanting through the world like some sort of twisted hulk-hogan rip-off. He's said to have a face "chiseled by the gods." He meets a Princess and his first thoughts are "wow, she's gorgeous, I want to lick her lips." What the f*ck?

The Princess is just as bad. She's a regular, plain old rich lady. She doesn't care for commoners at all since she lets her driver just hurtle down the road and almost hit the MC. The only reason she invites him to the castle is because he's a rune master and because she's thirsty for big, strong men.

This is all within the first 10 chapters, mind you, and I cannot see it getting any better. My aquaintance down below, Natsu=gildarts, says that it gets boring after chapter 90 and I'm just amazed he made it that far.


World Building: ⭐

Shockingly poor. There isn't much to say about this because there is none. The only thing we know is the world is medieval esque and that MC is within the 'Simon Kingdom.'

Writing Quality: ⭐⭐

The only decent thing I can say is that the spelling, grammar and punctuation are decent. Other than that, this reads like babies first novel.



That's a childs sentence. A child would write that and a child would read that.

Plot & Story Development: ⭐

There is literally no plot other than a half-baked revenge story about trying to get back at the MC's captor of the body he transmigrated into. Other than that, it's MC hitting on the Princess and making new spells like hotcakes. Everything comes to the MC easily. He gets both a system (for no reason) as well as gold from the princess and then 10 minutes later,

It's bad, give this one a skip.

It's an ok novel with an interesting concept just like the title says. The novel's pretty good, but the MC does seem very stupid sometimes albeit overpowered.

Also, I just felt that from chapter 90 onwards it become very boring.
