The world knew him by many names: the Wrathful Flame of the Mountains, the Infernal Scourge, the Crimson Emperor... and finally, the Ashen Dragon.

Under the shadow of his wings, entire civilizations trembled. It was he who fanned the flames of the magical industrial revolution. In the empire he created, the roar of wyverns merged with the salvos of cannons.

Steel monsters plowed the heavens and the earth, and from the rifts into other worlds crawled the living embodiments of catastrophes.

Cassius spread his wings, which blotted out the sun, and looked down upon the trembling humans, elves, and dwarves at his feet. And his voice was like thunder:

"Submit, or die."
