    I tried reading this before, but the fiasco with the heretic cult just pissed me off. It's ridiculously overboard. For instance, in the world of this novel, somehow, cultists can steal dozens of newborns every year, everyone is aware of what they do, yet every other day they can parade in the street willy nilly and no one riots. I get that people are callous in some circumstances, but this is bullshit.

    Anyway, by itself it's not much, but when the novel starts like this you just know that the author will pull stupid drama after stupid drama, and I went into this expecting some kind of slice-of-life comedy. I wanted diabetes, not a f#cking aneurysm.
