Upon transmigrating, Su Xing awakens in a highly advanced game-like martial world.

This world is populated by extraordinary beings known as Awakeneds. Favored by Heaven, these Awakeneds can level up and increase their power by clearing dungeons and slaying monsters.

Su Xing receives a hidden profession, a Cultivator. However, due to unknown reasons, he is unable to gain experience or level up like other Awakeneds.

Unable to level up, he can only cultivate. But in this era of declining spiritual energy, where cultivators are nearly extinct, even acquiring spiritual energy is a luxury. After four years of university, Su Xing is still at the puny Qi Refining stage, struggling to even graduate.

Fortunately, he awakens a golden finger, the “Life Simulator,” which allows him to simulate the future by paying energy. He can bring back the cultivation and items obtained in the simulation to the real world. Collapse

there is no better version for this type of novel, all of them are interesting at first but later it becomes so repetitive and boring, so it just good for wasting time when you have nothing to read

Having read till chapter 677, I can say that this is quite true.

However, it's not because of "this type of story", but it's because the author did not know how to balance between the simulations and the real world. I haven't read any other novel of this type, but at least for this one, 90% of the time the MC is in the simulation. Nothing about the real world, at least nothing substantial. Also, don't think the MC has any backing, he has none, NONE. If he has a backing, he can simply simulate forever and the story will end in 20 chapters, which is not what the author wants. So MC will always die, every time.

Until the point where I was reading, only a little more than a year had passed in the real world. The author is really milking this. Another reason is that the story is more telling than showing, making it less dramatic and hella boring. Human relationships are next to none, harem is a false tag, and it should be removed. Some of them were even forgotten.

Nationalism is there, but isn't obvious, out of the 700 chapters, I only saw 2 lines related to that and it's not even that bad. So it is only 0.01% of the novel. Well, all in all, this novel is junk, just eat it and get a stomachache, pass it out then eat it again.

The last thing is that the translator sucks. It's done by MTL which is why all the numbers are f#cked. They also split the chapter into many parts. At first, they split it into 2, then 3, then at the end 5 freaking chapters. Scummy practice. FYI the translator gets paid by chapters.

Update at chapter 343 of MTL.
Chapter 343 of MTL is quite far into the story as the translated version (730) is equivalent to chapter 291 of MTL.

Well, there is finally some real world action. Minor though

Edit: Overestimated the author. It was dissapointing.

I think it is possible. The issue most of those novels have is that they go from 1 simulation that is in world A to another in world B etc. So they become so surface level.

If you have a simulation after simulation that gives different starting points and gives a different lens that you see the world in it becomes exciting because you start as an insect and then in the second simulation you start better that got foreshadowed as a hidden faction or something.

Could do interesting things like the system giving upgrades. Like upgrading avatars so they can run autonomous and even creating scenario's where one avatar is reacting to what another avatar does/did or even making one avatar kill another avatar because the mc learns is learning how to use the system. After a while it could even have a simulation for the 'immortal' world where later on you start creating scenario's where that immortal avatar helps your lower level avatars etc and even later on when they ascend etc make a faction etc. Then after that go to a different type of world and later on combine different power systems etc... So many ideas.

So much potential but going into a new world every 20 chapters is just stupid...

Edit 2: Am finally caught up (350). Imo it's still interesting enough that I am going to carry on with it, but a fair warning - the amount of errors with the numbers I mentioned below become much worse and confusing as you get further in.

Some are definetly my bad, but the main issues revolved around the translation messing up his points between "Millions" and "Billions".
Midway through it wasn't as big a deal, since it mentioned the Simulator V4 upgrade cost 1 Billion, so you could be fairly certain that any mention of "Billion" was a mistake. But after the upgrade that's no longer the case and it becomes extremely confusing if you try and pay attention to the numbers. Like it'll say he has 1 Billion remaining, then in the next paragraph say he spent 16 Billion on extracting a reward leaving him with 8 Billion remaining etc. If you can't look past that, then defo avoid this for your own sake.

Edit 1: Now at Chapter 298. Still going to continue reading it, but I have noticed that the translation issues are affecting the numbers more and more, as well as making mistakes that would be obvious to anyone if there was even a basic proofreading done.

For numbers, MC has been dealing within Millions for a long while, yet recently the translation keeps messing up and referring to things in Billions randomly, which makes none of the maths make sense at all.

For the proofreading, I mean things like his remaining simulation opportunities which are always at "Unlimited" sometimes saying "None". And then other cases where the amount of things are clearly written incorrectly - like his current strength being in the thousands at base (before amplification), but the translation mistakenly sayings its in the millions. Like him owning 4 mines but the translation mistakenly saying he owns 6 etc.

    Original Review:
Currently At Chapter 134 and definitely continuing it - will update this once I'm caught up. Its a pretty good choice to read imo.

It definitely gives off similar vibes to My Longevity Simulator and most other simulation novels. He can simulate once every week and each simulation and reward extraction costs energy which he can extract from a variety of sources. For the most part the whole Levelling up thing isn't significant - the main use of the instance dungeons, at least the ones MC explores, are to gather knowledge around cultivation.

The main world has absolutely 0 spiritual energy, so he initially has to find a source of that. As his cultivation increases and sourcing spiritual energy becomes a concern, he delves into Body Refining as well. For the most part, as he grows stronger, the random talents he draws become more useful, with fewer random useless/negative ones, but then again he does obtain a luck enhancing talent fairly early so it can be explained away by that.

The main difficulty/goal is that in 20+ years (fluctuates slightly depending on his choices) a massive demonic beast consumes the entire country and causes his simulated self to die. He does try escaping abroad to America in one early simulation, but the same thing happens there (with a different beast) so he doesn't really bother trying to test escaping anymore.

His main focus, other than enhancing his strength (Qi and Body) is Farming and Alchemy. He decides to go through the route of enhancing the strength of the entire country via his Alchemy skills to try and delay the end for each simulation, though so far hasn't been able to delay it beyond around 26 years.

Imo it's a smart way of setting a limit so he can't just simulate things for decades at a time and has to deal with challenges that wouldn't normally occur - like speeding up the growth of plants so that they can sprout during the simulation deadline etc.

The main downsides is that it does start to get a bit repetitive when he starts every simulation the same way, but the different drawn talent and multiple goals he can shift between based on that does add decent variety. The other issue is with the translation - it isnt terrible by any means, but it is inconsistent. Sometimes skill/pill/equipment names change between being in Chinese vs English [Like a sword being called Mo Bing at first, then later by Ink Ice], but these aren't significant enough where you become completely lost or annoyed imo.

Overall, at least for now, I would definitely give this a try. It's the first novel from this latest batch I've tried and so it could just be the lack of any other new novels lately, but I am still interested. Will update this further once I either drop it or catch up to latest chapter.

Definetly. The whole leveling aspect is basically never relevant and he doesn't actually cultivate irl, just within the simulations (for good reason, given the lack of spiritual energy at the start and then the sheer amount of time breaking through realms takes later on).

The simulation aspect is basically the whole novel, so it only being mentioned in the last paragraph of the synopsis is a bit weird.

I think the synopsis is fine, as it's like the prologue, you understand the history of the MC but not the whole Plotline. some novel even have the whole plot summarized in their synopsis eg - Forced to ascend the throne

I defo agree that the synopsis shouldn't just include the outline of the entire story, but imo it should at least give you a good idea of what the novel is actually like/about, or introduce the MC. Personally really don't like the typical Korean ones where it is just 1 or 2 sentences that don't say anything about the story either.

Imo "Top Tier Providence" strides the line between the issues I have with this synopsis, by focusing majority on him rerolling his talents and stuff, which is literally only within the first few chapters, but it also mentions key aspects that are present throughout the entire novel - MC being cautious and low key.

This one has so much that has no relevance to the story at all and only mentions the most important aspect, the simulator, at the very bottom. Based on the synopsis and title you'd think the Levelling up part would be important, but it literally never is - even for those around him. He makes pills and provided food to help others increase their strength, but levels of others are never mentioned. Just their level of strength and them needing to complete a Dungeon for a breakthrough etc.

Novels like "Warlock of the Magus World" and "The Legendary Mechanic" do a better job of a synopsis where it gives you an idea about the MC and the setting well.

I read this novel before, honestly it's entertaining and pretty fun, though it does get repetitive but not in a bad way mostly through him simulating, and danger and mystery is always there. Which get solved and resolved, not like other novel's where some mysteries are always mysteries without us getting to know what's happening behind the scenes. Minor spoiler
