In a twist of fate, Jun Hao, a ruthless street thug known for his brute strength and sharp instincts, dies at the hand of the boss he served like a slave.

When he thought he would die, he saw a screen flash before his eyes—it was a system and a status window!

[System integrating: Become A Top Idol]

Jun Hao finds himself abruptly transported into the body of Choi Joon-ho, a timid trainee hoping to make it big in the cutthroat world of idols through "Rising Stars," a highly popular idol survival show.

In a world unfamiliar to him, where singing, dancing, and charisma reign supreme, Jun Hao must navigate the treacherous waters of an idol survival show or risk losing the life of his beloved younger sister. Collapse

it's prety decent I'm currently caught up (chp255) it doesn't really stand out the only brownie points i can give is that it doesn't have a harem (nearly impossible to find on a system novel)

edit: i also noticed that the names for the new characters are just straight western names instead of Korean

Idol systems are pretty much never harems, idols are expected to not date.

So the brownie point isn't really one, it's just inherent to this specific system subtype.

Ok...i'll admit that some parts of this novel, I kind of just skim through. But overall, it's pretty funny. I'ma keep reading. On chapter 61 as I write this here.

    The appraiser's paradox.

Evaluators, paradoxical beings in the webnovel tapestry,
Poison testers, they dance on the edge of danger,
Sometimes, between living and dying, they vanish like mist,
Resurrection, a cyclical narrative that beckons them once more.

The zenith of pleasure for the evaluator is to see their critique resonate,
The effort, a journey through the pages, transmuted into words,
Transcending the work into an impartial evaluation,
The reward, recognition, an echo in the vast virtual universe.

But behold the paradox, woven in invisible threads,
The existence of other evaluators, shadows on the same stage,
Each with their nuances, distinct evaluations,
In a game where the very art of evaluation is evaluated.

Sometimes, the evaluation is submerged in a tide of other critiques,
The evaluator, faced with the challenge, makes a crucial choice,
Between refining their evaluations, polishing their own art,
Or venturing into unknown lands, where works await in the shadows.

There is a third path, bold and perilous,
Where quality is sacrificed in favor of quantity,
Each evaluation, a race against time,
For the less it takes, the more works can be unravelled.

In this intricate dance, where quality and quantity intertwine,
The evaluator weaves their own destiny, an endless plot,
An enchanted paradox, where pleasure and challenge dance together,
In the sparkling vastness of webnovels, where each critique is an unpublished chapter.

My problem with this book is the overly dramatic conflict the author always comes up with. It always seems like insurmountable obstacles come in front of the MC but he always seems to sail through at the last minute. While conflict is important in books, must they be so frustrating and nonsensical.

stop spamming your "official" discord server, which isnt official in any shape or form.

      from your dog discord:
      𝕯𝖊𝖆𝖙𝖍𝕾𝖊𝖊𝖐𝖊𝖗 ☯

      08/20/2023 9:03 AM
Bro who said we are owners of ranobes... They are panic and red head... We ask them to come here but they are lazy bumbs... They know about this server so we are kinda official and unofficial at the same

you should look up the word official on a dictionary, but since you're too busy talking with your discord kittens, mr discord mod i'll copy paste a definition for you.

      official
      adjective
agreed to or arranged by people in positions of authority:
the official photos of the president's tour of India
The Queen will attend the official opening of the theatre in June.
There is to be an official inquiry into the incident.

i dont see any discord links on this website to your "official" discord or any messages by admins of this website saying that it is actual official discord. lmfao. especially weird when you guys are starting to rebrand your "official" discord to be more open to many different communities. super official stuff

Here as a moderator of said discord, deathseeker and Karmicdaoist are just kinda like that, i personally have never said our discord was ever affiliated or official. I have advertised it a couple times mainly just to get some people from the site in there, since i like engaging with the community and just talking about novels. That all being said i don't disagree with being annoyed at death, even I downvote his ads and karmics since they never said anything relevant to the novel.

Have you seen that vine where the guy is like, "I'm gonna say it." "Say it!" "I don't care that you broke your elbow."

Yeah, all that buildup for something so lame. That's your comment.
