    A decent though shallow story of progression and ass whooping. The MC is a quirky guy, a funny meme to accompany. Worth a read in the way that one would enjoy a guilty pleasure.

    It starts out strong, but around ch100 things start to slow down into the typical cultivation grind where the author writes much but says little. Repeated and insignificant information makes up most of the volume.

    I'm at ch155 and skip-reading most of the time.

    Quite good so far, 162 chapters in. It is good to see a character that has not turned in to a homicidal maniac just because he got a system. So far no major racism, no Xxhina been number one to save the day. Really want to see what happens next.

    No love interest yet, maybe later. MC too busy practicing to become stronger or he is just a Ken doll with no Widget.

      So...i read it and it was surprisingly good. At least better than my expectations. I wouldnt say he was HJ or Han jue if you dont know, but his mindset is kind of similar. Im not really a fan of zombie stories but it's more like a zombie, cultivation, and then a MHA quirk stories. It kind of felt like the author didnt know where to bring it so he just decided to bring everything that was interesting to him. Now for the Mc strength. I wouldnt call this a spoiler but ill let you judge for yourself if you want to read it.

      Anyway, it's fun, i recommend it

    I've read 150 ch so far, and I like the novel. It is rather refreshing to have a cautious protagonist for a change.

    The MC is a paranoid homebody. One of those end of the world preppers, and someone who just enjoys working out, eating regular meals, and taking naps. He's funny in a way.

    Apocalypse happens, and the world is overrun by zombies. The MC stays bottled up in the early chapters, minding his own business, though he is willing to kill the zombies near his house. Doesn't trust people, doesn't let them into his house, doesn't like to travel.

    His system gets him stat points for working out and practicing with slingshots, ect. So he does that instead of using awakening stones like others to get supernatural powers, but he becomes OP anyhow. Survivors all like to live near him for protection.

    Only 150 chaps, so I can't review much, but I find it quaint and like it so far.

    This novel is worth trying in my opinion. It's pretty simple with the MC focusing almost entirely on grinding attributes while the world happens around them. The MC is definitely paranoid and just wants to grind in place, maybe future chapters will change that.

    I've enjoyed till the current chapter cap

    The mc... I'd like to describe as a paranoid schizophrenic
    Example. Believed that the apocalypse was coming before the story even started
    And spent his entire life savings and inheritance almost completely to turn his house into a fully functional bunker

    But not as cowardly as the other commenters have made him out to be, his fear is very much irrelevant to him whenever he has a decision to make that would decide his life or death
