beware, the ending is abrupt. its a great story though, 5/5 imo until the chu empire, i think at that point the motivation of the author started to wane.

dont blame the author cuz everyone has a reason, who knows, he might have been going through a tough time.

It's like smaller version of *joy of life* where Mc has system which he rarely uses..

More like: My Wife is There but it doesn't matter because I have a harem and this is the least interesting and focused part of the story.
Overall the story was good.
Like I said before the harem part is boring with women that are similar to each other (except one and it's not the main Wife) the main Wife doesn't matter at all except that she's sometimes there and she's doing good general job.
But the novel have satisfying schemes, mc and his father have political power and they use it for politics, the fights are not bad,face slapping isn't obnoxious,the mc cultivation route looked fun.
But the biggest nail in the coffin the novel have less than 300ch, I didn't read the ending but was like 10ch off because when I realized it ended lost the will to read what will be extremely rushed ending from what feels like early mid of the story.
But still 7/10 still recommending to read it.

I enjoyed the story until a certain point
Before that point, I knew what to expect… a mc that is wasting around, provoking all kinds of people and using the name of his father as a shield. And for some reason I really enjoyed it, this meaningless spending of time. The mc is basically the waste, minor villain in every cultivation novel, but the author wrote all those encounters in a funny way.
But after (the spoiler at the begin of the comment ) the story got bad really quickly

Well... Story is pretty funny and and somewhat interesting if you don't think about it much. I would give story overall of 3/5.
There's just big problems in story in my opinion. For example the system, it's totally op if used properly, but mc basically doesn't use it, aside from pissing off some people and getting some random individual emotional responses.
If he became celebrity, general or any kind of high profile person that can make impact on people on wide scale, he could regularly harvest points on mass scale. Basically what mc is doing is picking up wild crops in wild vs industrial crop farming he could be doing instead.

First he became wastrel, which doesn't really give him much points, then he became secret guard, which again doesn't give him much points. Especially with secret guard I have an problem, he went there because he wanted to change things, and he even said himself, he needs strength for that. But fastest way for mc to become strong and actually make an impact is with points.

So overall, story is about mc doing random things and fooling around with some story. Oh yeah, other criticism is the story, unfortunately there isn't really any concise story, it's just some court shenanigans, some romance etc. It is much more like slice-of-life than normal story.

I'm currently at c160, and while I don't dislike story much. It has become pretty stale and frustrations about mc not actually using system doesn't help. So I'm probably going to stop here, story just isn't going anywhere, there isn't real goals or anything that gives story feel of progression.

Its a really funny novel 10/10.

Harem shoulda been more incorporated into the story specially to main wife. Still a very good read would recommend.

Decent, not gonna lie not for everyone tho, not anything groundbreaking or new tho. Would recommend to people who have experience with cultivation novel. The novel ending is rushed and has some much left out. Alright peace guys.

I had read to 20 and feels boring, barely any action from Mc or none at all. This is a thinking novel tho so if you’re into that then try it out.

The chick in the title barely shows up. It’s a harem, and the girl from the brothel feels forced imo, but the wife general is calculative just like our Mc, and some other characters.

Remember. It’s just my opinion so if ya disagree wit it, then suck my 2 inch penis lol

It's a great read. At least, up until the last few chapters, where it seems the author was clearly in a hurry to wrap things up. I, and obviously many others who have read this good work, appreciate it but feel the author could have done better with the ending.
Regardless of that tho, I enjoyed the time I spent reading it. I would gladly recommend.
