In the end did MC revive his parents or he finally realized it was a childhood dream?

Yes, they get revived in the epilogue, the story though begins to focus more on him and his tames so they are not really mentioned it talked to

Compared to a lot of other novels, I find this one you know, actually readable, most of the times its prevelent in every chapter in this the only time I could think of is when they are doing the competition between countries and that's to be expected even the Olympics have got culture that's deeply entrenched in Propoganda and nationalism

I don't mind the usual "nationalism" when it makes sense, like in The Human Emperor, it somehow fits with the story and everyone doesn't become "hurr durrr we all dum dums". How is it here though? Does everyone else suddenly become stupid just because they're not chinese?

Honestly theres only one arc with any real nationalism which is the tournament arc and the mutated human arc, its definitely more prevalent in the tourney arc but the mutated humans and regular humans have got major hate between them so there's racism from both sides, the mc even then is usually isolated and spends time training his pets or fighting there isn't any real point in the story where there's a conflict started due to nationalism/racism apart from those two arcs mentioned before

Thanks, I don't mind racism being part of stories, just breaks immersion if the characters become automatically stupid if they aren't Chinese (because that's nonsensical). I should give this a try then.

Where's the racism? I've read this from beginning to end and saw none of that.

Can you give me an example of "Toxic" nationalism or racism in this? I don't remember anything that was bad really.
