Chapter 324: The Underground Ancient Tomb

Given Deng Feng's abilities back then, casually setting up an illusionary barrier to confuse vision would have been simple. However, he didn't do so, because when he entered the Ghost Building, his intention was to accomplish something grand, which was bound to cause a massive commotion. A casually deployed barrier simply couldn't withstand the immense destructive power unleashed by their fierce battle.

But now, the barrier Yang Haoran casually set up was far simpler, and consequently, much weaker. Neither in its duration nor its defense could it compare to the barrier Deng Feng had once deployed using formation flags.

Though similar in nature, their quality was vastly different, making them utterly incomparable.

However, Yang Haoran wasn't setting up this barrier to commit arson or murder, nor was it for battling opponents. He merely wished to open an entrance here, so such a barrier was entirely sufficient.

After setting up the forbidden barrier, Yang Haoran wasted no time. Though he made no discernible movements, several black chains, each as thick as an arm, suddenly materialized in the surrounding space.

The chains twisted together, resembling an enlarged and elongated drill, and bored down into the spot indicated by the snake demon.

Moments later, Yang Haoran dispersed the chains. Before the two of them, a new opening now appeared—a gaping hole leading underground.

The opening wasn't large, just wide enough for one person to enter. Below, the darkness was absolute and seemingly bottomless. However, neither Yang Haoran nor the snake demon were ordinary individuals—in fact, the snake demon wasn't human at all—so they naturally paid no mind to this.

"How about it? I didn't lie to you, did I, Emissary Yang? " the snake demon asked with a smile.

"We'll know once we go down," Yang Haoran replied.

Though he said this, Yang Haoran didn't immediately descend into the hole. Instead, he turned his gaze to the snake demon.

He said nothing, yet the snake demon understood his meaning.

The snake demon stared at Yang Haoran, an unreadable expression on her face, as if she wanted to speak but hesitated.

"If you have something to say about me, why not say it aloud? " Yang Haoran said with a smile.

"You said it yourself, so don't blame me," the snake demon replied.

"Of course. You're not my slave; you're my partner. How could I blame you? " Yang Haoran said, still smiling.

"Alright then, I'll really say it! You're stingy, cowardly, and suspicious. You're truly unlikable to girls. If you keep this up, your wife might divorce you, your girlfriend might break up with you, and in the end, you're destined to be single for life! I wish you a lifetime of unhappiness!"

After uttering these words, the snake demon still felt a little uncertain, worried that Yang Haoran might snap and lash out. So, the moment her voice faded, she leaped and plunged into the opening.

Yang Haoran, meanwhile, froze in place, the smile on his face rigid. It was a good while before he finally came back to his senses.

"Damn it, this snake demon is vicious! Truly a white snake. I hope her mouth hasn't been blessed with prophetic power yet."

Yang Haoran's expression was a sight to behold, a mixture of helplessness and a hint of fear. To him, the snake demon's words struck directly at his heart, every single one.

These words had made the snake demon feel apprehensive, and they had also made Yang Haoran feel apprehensive.

The snake demon felt apprehensive because she feared Yang Haoran might punish her, while Yang Haoran felt apprehensive because he feared all of it might actually come true, damn it.

Shaking his head with a wry smile, Yang Haoran couldn't be bothered to dwell on the matter with the snake demon. After all, he was here for the Evil Spirit today.

Visible Yin Qi coiled around Yang Haoran's body. Then, Yang Haoran's body floated suspended, descending into the entrance.

Once Yang Haoran had entered the opening, a massive boulder on the ground slowly shifted, enveloped by Yin Qi, sealing the entrance completely.

As the boulder ceased its movement, the forbidden barrier Yang Haoran had set up also vanished, and everything returned to normal.

No one noticed that such an event had transpired in a remote corner of the Stone Forest within such a short time. Of course, no tourists would have noticed Yang Haoran and the snake demon had vanished.

Although the two of them had appeared in the world of other tourists, for both parties, they were merely passersby who happened to cross paths. In the fleeting moment of brushing shoulders, who would pay attention to whether the other person would vanish from this world the next instant?
