Chapter 1218: Disappearance

Within the green sea of fire, a terrifying power erupted. A furious surge of Talisman Spirit Power ripped open a gap in the fiery expanse, and a divine talisman, formless and coalesced entirely from power, shot forth. It formed a protective barrier above the sea of fire, blocking the Death God's Dharma Body's assault amidst a deafening roar.

Concurrently, for reasons unknown, the green sea of fire rapidly contracted and shrunk. Once it had diminished to a certain extent, a golden-glowing divine talisman became visible, hovering in the air. This talisman didn't appear large, yet its "belly" was considerable, continuously absorbing vast quantities of green ghost fire as if a flood dragon were drawing water. The rapid contraction and shrinking of the sea of fire were precisely due to this talisman.

Since the Bone Dragon was one of the Death God's three Soul Armaments, the flames it spewed were, without question, incredibly potent. However, facing the Talisman Ancestor, a True God, such an attack inflicted no discernible damage upon him.

Of course, this situation didn't arise because the Bone Dragon was incapable of harming the Talisman Ancestor. Rather, it was because the Talisman Ancestor had promptly deployed the appropriate countermeasures to neutralize the attack. Had he not done so in time, the Talisman Ancestor certainly wouldn't have emerged completely unscathed as he did now. While not necessarily severely wounded, injuries would have been a certainty.

The Death God showed no surprise at this. After all, his dealings with the Talisman Ancestor were not a matter of a day or two; he knew exactly how capable the Talisman Ancestor was. If harming the Talisman Ancestor were so easy, he would find it rather strange.

The sea of fire was swiftly devoured by the divine talisman. However, the divine talisman above, which had been resisting the Death God's Dharma Body, was shattered into dust by three colossal, mountain-like fists. While the divine talisman had initially repelled the Death God's Dharma Body, that was merely at the outset. As the Death God's Dharma Body unleashed one rapid punch after another, the divine talisman ultimately failed to hold, quickly dissipating under the force and transforming into scattered golden light.

The Death God understood the Talisman Ancestor, and the Talisman Ancestor likewise understood the Death God. He also knew it was clearly impossible to repel the Death God's Dharma Body with just a single divine talisman, so he had prepared in advance. The moment the divine talisman was breached by the Death God's Dharma Body, his own Dharma Body was summoned forth.

The clash between the Death God's Dharma Body and the Talisman Ancestor's Dharma Body could only be described with the words "earth-shattering. " It was far more intense than any previous collision between their Dharma Bodies. Beyond the Dharma Bodies themselves, the confrontation between Soul Armaments and divine talismans was equally fierce.

As they were old acquaintances, both skipped the customary probing phase, striking with their full might from the outset. The destructive power unleashed by their all-out assault was world-shattering, vast expanses of space shattering like impact-stricken glass.

In merely a brief exchange, the entire sky above Snow Fox Mountain transformed into a black hole, and the black hole's area continued to expand outwards. Although this was not the first time a black hole had appeared above Snow Fox Mountain today – since the Apotheosis Platform emerged, three such black holes had manifested consecutively: the first upon the Apotheosis Platform's appearance, the second during the Death God's Dharma Body's struggle with the Spiritualist Dharma Body, and the third being the current clash between the Death God and the Talisman Ancestor.

However, the black hole that had now appeared covered a far greater area than the previous two. Furthermore, judging by its continuous and rapid expansion, the current coverage of this black hole had not yet peaked. If it continued like this, it was clear it would expand considerably more.

Outside Snow Fox Mountain, the Yin Division Five Emperors and others watched the ceaselessly expanding black hole, their expressions universally changing. These individuals, who were the closest to gods, were originally the strongest in this world apart from the gods themselves. Yet, facing the ever-growing black hole, they found themselves forced to retreat further backward once more. This was because they, too, were worried about being affected by the black hole. Should they be caught in its wake, they had no idea what their fate might be, so for safety's sake, it was better to avoid it beforehand.

Even powerhouses like the Yin Division Five Emperors had retreated a considerable distance. Yang Haoran and the others, whose strength was far inferior to that of the Yin Division Five Emperors, naturally also fell back a significant distance.

The destructive power of the Death God and the Talisman Ancestor's clash was so immense that even space itself could not withstand it. Yet, the Apotheosis Platform, situated at the very center of their confrontation, remained completely unaffected. Not to mention damage, it didn't even experience a slight tremor, standing as firm as an ancient, gnarled pine. This clearly demonstrated just how incredibly sturdy the Apotheosis Platform was.

Due to the extreme severity of the spatial fragmentation, once the black hole's coverage extended far beyond Snow Fox Mountain, the area where the Death God and Talisman Ancestor were fighting actually began to twist and deform. Not only did the figures of the Death God and Talisman Ancestor vanish, but even the Apotheosis Platform disappeared from everyone's sight. All that could be seen was a vast expanse of utter blackness.

This scene simultaneously caused the expressions of both sides' forces to change drastically. Unable to witness the battle between the Death God and the Talisman Ancestor, they couldn't discern which of the two True Gods held the upper hand. This left them feeling utterly uncertain, hence the change in their countenances.

Nevertheless, the grand battle between the two sides did not cease with the disappearance of the Death God, the Talisman Ancestor, and the Apotheosis Platform. It continued with ferocious intensity; screams echoed every moment, and individuals fell with every passing second. The entire Snow Fox Mountain Range was dyed a bloody red. As for their inner hopes, they still harbored them—their hope was that the god of their respective faction would triumph over the enemy's True God.

"Yang Haoran, I advise you to simply surrender. Your Death God definitely won't be a match for the Talisman Ancestor of the Talisman Order. Even if we take ten thousand steps back and concede that your Yin Division Death God has the strength to fight the Talisman Ancestor, barely managing a draw, don't forget we also have our Spiritualist Gods! Once my God successfully ascends the Apotheosis Platform and becomes a True God, that will be the death knell for your Yin Division Death God. I doubt even you believe your Death God has the power to contend with two True Gods. The ultimate outcome will only be your Yin Division Death God's defeat, or even his demise. Once your Yin Division Death God is dead, do you truly think you Yin Division agents can still escape the grasp of two True Gods? Heh heh, if I were you, I'd be trying to escape from here right now, certainly not continuing this pointless resistance."

Yang Haoran's opponent at this moment was a late-stage peak Grand Spirit Master. This individual had initially believed there would be absolutely no problem dealing with Yang Haoran. After all, the power fluctuations emanating from Yang Haoran were only at the late Earth Soul realm, while he possessed peak late-stage power. Taking down Yang Haoran, this Guardian, should have been a cinch.

However, it was only when he truly clashed with Yang Haoran that he realized his mistake. Yang Haoran's combat experience was simply too vast, leading to exceptionally strong reactive and predictive abilities. Furthermore, Yang Haoran's methods were endlessly varied; his strange and peculiar talismans, in particular, were not only troublesome but also seemed inexhaustible. Consequently, after a round of combat, not only had he failed to subdue Yang Haoran, but he had even sustained some injuries himself.

Yang Haoran's overall strength far exceeded his imagination. Although he was unwilling to admit it, he had no choice but to concede that he could not easily defeat Yang Haoran. Hence, he resorted to a verbal assault.
