Chapter 96: Revival

"Bai Mo, hold him off. Try not to let him get a chance to support others or attack our people. I'll link up with the others and clear the field first." Chen Bo's voice came through the radio.

"Mm."

"Heheheh, kid, your fists pack a punch, but let me show you what true power really means!" Ou Gao La Si suddenly erupted with an earth-shattering aura. His eyes began to turn red, and his body continuously expanded. The black suit he wore ripped apart, and in an instant, his entire being swelled to a height of nearly five meters. His face was reduced to just a pair of eyes, losing the concept of skin, replaced instead by constantly flowing and shifting dark red liquid, just like a giant liquid robot.

"Come on! Come and go head-to-head with me! Aren't you supposed to be a great fighter?!" The transformed Ou Gao La Si abandoned his former elegant, aristocratic demeanor, turning into a warlike and crude giant as he began a high-speed close-quarters battle with Bai Mo. Yet, with his completely fluid body, he showed no signs of a giant's clumsiness, retaining the Blood Clan's agility. His fluid form constantly shifted in high-speed movements, deforming in ways that conformed to aerodynamics to reduce resistance.

The two fought at a speed completely imperceptible to the naked eye. Under Bai Mo's intentional guidance, the battlefield quickly moved away from the castle—or rather, the castle's area was simply too small to contain a battle between two monsters whose maximum speed exceeded two hundred meters per second!

"This is it. It's been a long time since I've had to push myself to my limit. This is how my world should be." Bai Mo thoroughly enjoyed the sensation of high speed.

"Thank you." Bai Mo even took a moment to nod at Ou Gao La Si, signaling, "This feels great."

Ou Gao La Si sneered, "Did I drive you crazy already?"

"Don't you think so? For us, this should be our normal speed! The speed of ordinary people on a daily basis is far too slow! That shouldn't be our life."

"Nonsense!"

Both sides fell into a tedious war of attrition. Ou Gao La Si continuously absorbed Bai Mo's attacks with his body, which was immune to physical damage, while Bai Mo dodged as much as possible. If he couldn't dodge, he used the life field's inherent energy-absorbing effect to cancel out a large portion of the kinetic energy.

Each time Ou Gao La Si liquefied into blood, Bai Mo secretly siphoned off a small drop, firmly encasing it with his psychic power and slowly grinding away the will within. Although Ou Gao La Si noticed these small movements, he was helpless against this "small knife sawing a big tree" method; his control over a single drop of blood was still inferior to Bai Mo's forceful psychic manipulation.

"Aren't you worried about your subordinates? They're all being besieged."

"What a load of rubbish!" The increasingly irritable Ou Gao La Si cursed.

"Perhaps villains die from talking too much." Bai Mo continued to joke. It was rare to find someone he could chat with at such high speeds, and he was in a rather good mood.

"This is going nowhere." Ou Gao La Si realized that his opponent's defensive capabilities were also extremely formidable, so he decided to change tactics and strengthen his own offensive power.

A pair of blood-red wings extended from his back. He suddenly flapped them, generating explosive air currents, and flew high into the sky at extreme speed.

"Is he coming with another Blood Dragon Missile? Physical immunity is annoying; he can even do suicide attacks. However, you're not the only one who can fly." A sudden flash of inspiration struck Bai Mo: he could apply his psychic power to himself, allowing him to float and even move in the air.

"Boom!" An earth-shaking strike.

Awkwardly, he managed to get himself into the air, narrowly dodging Ou Gao La Si's first wave of impact. Although Bai Mo was hit head-on by the air blast, he sustained no actual damage.

Ou Gao La Si's "human missile" blasted a crater with a radius of seven or eight meters into the ground. The intense tremors spread to the small town at the foot of the mountain several kilometers away.

In the secret chamber of the town church, a nun, cultivating the Holy Church's newly developed spells, was also startled awake by the sudden tremor.

"Could it be that person from yesterday?" After perceiving with her spiritual power, the nun confirmed her suspicion: there were two high-energy reaction points not far away.

"Indeed... this is no longer a level I can handle." She began contacting headquarters, requesting powerful reinforcements.

Most of the townspeople, thinking it was an earthquake, ran outside. That's when they witnessed an unforgettable sight.

A blood-red meteor continuously slammed downwards. Each impact brought a violent tremor, and after the tremor, the meteor would once again shoot towards the sky, repeating the cycle endlessly.

"Your attacks like this are meaningless. There's practically no difference in our absolute speed, so as long as I intend to dodge, you won't hit me." Bai Mo, growing accustomed to moving in the air, expressed his boredom. "Why don't we call a truce? We don't have any deep-seated hatred, anyway. This is just a waste of time."

"A truce?! Mere food!" Ou Gao La Si still couldn't shed his Blood Clan arrogance. He wouldn't allow a battle between himself and what he considered "food" to end in futility.

"Meaningless vanity!" Bai Mo continued his verbal sparring. Since he couldn't deal with this guy quickly, and their will powers weren't vastly different, it would take him some time to even barely wipe away the will from one of his blood drops. So, he could only slowly drag the fight out.

"You have a force of less than a thousand, yet there are tens of millions of ability users in the world now. I don't quite understand the source of your confidence."

"You don't understand. The power of those three people is still expanding every day. Soon, numbers won't be an issue! After hundreds of years, my race has finally welcomed its revival!" Ou Gao La Si declared fanatically.

"Revival?" Bai Mo keenly picked up on that word.

Realizing he seemed to have let something slip, Ou Gao La Si fell silent, replacing his words with a storm of attacks.

Bai Mo passively engaged him. Facing a guy whose whole body could turn into blood and who was almost immune to physical attacks, he had absolutely no interest in attacking. He might as well enjoy the high-speed world. Other than occasionally throwing a punch to show he was still there, Bai Mo just kept dodging.

"Only managed to wipe away the will from five drops of his blood since the fight started. So annoying."

"Chen Bo, how are things on your end?" Bai Mo asked through the comms.

"Killed six, captured three."

"Captured? How did you manage that? These things are easy to kill, but too difficult to capture alive."

"Nian Xiong from my Seventh Squad, his ability is 'slime restraint.' He flawlessly covered the vampires' entire bodies with slime. The three we caught are still struggling in the slime, and with Li Changfeng's spider silk spray, they've now turned into three spider silk shells, with glue in the middle and a vampire ball inside. My team has already started searching the castle for useful items. How about your side?"

"A mouse biting a tortoise. I don't have any targeted abilities to deal with him."

"Need assistance?"

"You figure out a countermeasure first. I'm not in a hurry here. His average speed is about one hundred eighty meters per second. Don't send anyone who can't react quickly enough to their deaths."
