Chapter 738: Dao Chen

Bai Mo roughly calculated that at the speed of the Federation's main fleet, it would take approximately one hundred and twenty-three years to reach the nearest star system to the Solar System.

This meant that an entire generation of mortals would live out their lives—birth, old age, sickness, and death—during this journey.

Of course, for Six-Tier powerhouses with lifespans of three thousand years, and Seven-Tier powerhouses with lifespans nearing ten thousand, a mere hundred years wouldn't occupy much of their lives.

As long as they could escape from that dangerous item that could explode at any moment, everything was worth it.

...

"I have something for you; please pass it on to them for me."

"A spatial layer coordinate?"

Xu Xuan Ling recognized the item in Bai Mo's hand—coordinates to an alternate dimension, which could be invaluable or practically worthless.

If the other side was a civilized world, its value would be immeasurable.

But if it were just a void like the endless cosmos, such coordinates wouldn't fetch a high price, barely even serving as a spatial warehouse.

Ever since the Federation developed the vast reserves of Empty Profound Crystals on Mars, space artifacts were no longer rare. A micro spatial ring, capable of holding about one cubic meter of items, could be bought for three to five thousand yuan.

"About a hundred years ago, the Zerg Mother handed this to me, hoping I could go over there and join the fight against their enemies within three hundred years..." Bai Mo placed the information he had compiled together with the coordinates.

"You're planning for us to go there together?" Half a second later, Xu Xuan Ling had browsed all the information and finally understood the situation.

On the other side was a star domain called the Dao Chen Realm. Within that star domain was a cultivator civilization named Xia He, while the Zerg were the invaders of this star domain. The relationship was simple: either you die, or I die.

After all, the Zerg didn't take prisoners.

The war between the two sides had continued for several millennia, yet it remained in a stalemate.

"That's right."

"So there really is such a thing as the Zerg, and they're even Immortal-level existences."

"Spirit Qi has made this universe's spatial layers more fragile. Every day, some transmigrators slip through the riddled spatial layers between planes."

"Like us?" Xu Xuan Ling quipped.

"..."

Over the years, the Federation had indeed discovered some transmigrators. Most of them had exposed their distinctiveness due to an inability to adapt, while a few had risen too quickly, drawing the attention of observant individuals.

In front of Upper-tier Grandmasters, these transmigrators, who hadn't had time to grow, couldn't keep any secrets.

However, the Federation wasn't overly concerned with their otherworlder identity, nor did they dissect them for study. What truly captivated the high-level cultivators was the otherworld behind these otherworlders.

Most valuable alternate dimension coordinates were reverse-engineered from these transmigrators.

They probably never imagined that after transmigrating, they would bring colossal trouble to their original worlds.

As for transmigrating to the Land of White, that was even more amusing. They would be instantly exposed in one second, and once the System obtained the otherworld coordinates, the person would be packed and sent aboard a trade vessel bound for the Federation.

...

"When do we leave?" Xu Xuan Ling accepted the coordinates without hesitation.

The greatest challenge facing these Immortal-level existences wasn't actually the competition for resources, but rather the fundamental uncertainty of where their path led.

For them, everything ahead was completely untrodden, and they could only grope their way forward on their own.

To put it bluntly, even if they wanted to use pills to upgrade, they wouldn't know which pills were effective. They'd have to personally act like Shennong tasting hundreds of herbs, trying them one by one.

No one would tell them what was a resource and what was trash, nor would any teacher guide them.

Therefore, no one would refuse an opportunity to witness the cultivation paths of other races' high-level practitioners.

"Sixty years from now." Bai Mo estimated that he should be able to completely refine the Main God within fifty years, so he set a sixty-year agreement.

"Alright."

Xu Xuan Ling also calculated that, according to the Federation's navigation plan, in sixty years, they would likely have completely left the Solar System, allowing them to split their consciousness and project themselves into the Dao Chen Realm.

Whether or not they would act as hired muscle for the Zerg was another matter.

If the compensation was sufficient, there was no problem with being mercenaries for once.

"The civilization on the other side has some awareness of otherworld invasions. Directly transmigrating there would trigger their world warning system..."

Before leaving, Bai Mo left one final instruction.

...

"The world has finally completely diverged."

In the lowest level of the Federation's most dreaded Geocentric Grand Prison, a dark shadow, heavily sealed by countless runes, murmured to itself while looking in the direction of Earth.

The Geocentric Grand Prison, nicknamed "Hell," was formerly a large black sphere modified by a spatial magic array. Now, it was an independent prison built within a specially designed dreadnought, where the Federation's most heinous criminals were exiled.

Apart from death row inmates, who would be immediately executed and were confined separately on the first underground level, all other prisoners were held below the third negative level.

As for how many levels the entire prison had, no one knew, except for its original builders and a very small number of high-ranking guards within the prison.

The prisoners only believed that the level they lived on was their entire world. It had a sky and land, but they could never touch that false blue sky.

There were no physical passages connecting the levels; the movement of personnel and supplies relied entirely on spatial teleportation arrays. Should the warden detect any issues, they could immediately remotely seal off all teleportation array transmissions, preventing any escape attempts.

Large numbers of molecular machines floated through each level. Some of their functions were surveillance, while the rest were to maintain the balance of the prison's harsh ecosystem.

This included food production and water purification.

...

And today, this colossal prison, vast as a world unto itself, welcomed a new batch of guests once again.

They were a group of excessively young men and women, whose eyes showed the genuine vivacity of youth, not the artificial vitality of some centuries-old monsters who maintained eternal youth.

"What crime did they commit? To warrant your personal escort?" The Deputy Warden of the Geocentric Grand Prison, a beautiful woman with several whips coiled around her arm, stepped forward respectfully to greet the transport vehicle emerging from the teleportation array.

"A terrorist organization—a group of high-ranking members of the Mundane Empire," a silver figure said as it materialized from nothingness.

"So it's the fiends from the Mundane Empire. Rest assured, Esteemed Tie Xin, once they enter our Geocentric Grand Prison, no prisoner can escape, even with wings." The warden's long whip, like flexible fingers, solemnly saluted the other party.

The one escorting this group was the Federation's renowned Six-Tier cultivator, the Tie Xin Mie Jue Zhe himself.

"I know your rules. I'm not wearing a hand-cuff, so I won't stay long." The silver figure seemed to have some reservations about the place, not wishing to linger at all..
