Chapter 659: The Script

They all saw a possible future.

It was an ending leading to doomsday.

"Is that thing... still a living being?" the Emperor muttered to himself, "Can I cultivate to that level?"

Although this world had rapidly advanced into the age of electricity due to the emergence of the Infinite Origin Stone, the technology tree related to nuclear weapons had never been lit.

The most destructive weapon invented by the humans of Water Blue Star was something called a thermobaric bomb.

However, the thermobaric bomb's limit was merely to kill humans within a two-hundred-meter radius of the explosion center through high temperatures and shockwaves; it was still many orders of magnitude away from the world-ending catastrophe Bai Mo had demonstrated.

Originally, Mei Lin had some doubts, wondering if it was all just an illusion.

However, the moment he considered that the entire planet's electricity was very likely provided by this unknown life form before them, and that was still far from its limit, he immediately felt that Bai Mo's words held a certain degree of credibility.

"Is he building a special escape passage because he doesn't want us all to die?"

Unlike the Emperor, who was obsessed with cultivation, largely ignored state affairs, and was ready to abandon his throne at any time if there was a chance for immortality, Mei Lin, who managed state affairs, was far more vigilant.

Although he had never heard of a "Dark Forest," he understood that the prerequisite for two races to communicate equally was to possess equivalent leverage.

If one side possessed overwhelming power, and the other couldn't even achieve mutual destruction, then equal communication was essentially an empty promise.

Mei Lin didn't quite believe there could be inexplicable goodwill between alien races, perhaps only... between humans and pets?

"Esteemed Great Being, may I ask... why have you chosen to show leniency?" He showed no hint of politeness, nor any pretense, directly posing the core question.

Facing a completely alien super-life form, Mei Lin chose not to use human rhetoric in his communication.

"He shouldn't die a lonely death on this planet."

On the paper depicting Bai Mo's silhouette, an arrow pointing towards Bu Lan Du appeared.

Looking at this pitiful Emperor, destined by the script to become merely a backdrop for the Spirit Qi Autumn, Bai Mo saw a shadow of his own self from nearly a century ago.

The Emperor's cultivation talent was actually quite good; if he were in the Federation, he would be the type of person who, given enough time, would have the chance to step into the Seventh Tier. It was just a pity he was born at the wrong time.

As someone capable of deducing the script, he already knew that the battle between the two proxies would not be decided within this generation.

The Emperor, who deeply loved cultivation, ultimately did not live to see the true revival of Spirit Qi.

Because of the relative strength of the "spiritless," Lun Heping and his companions, empowered by Qi Luck, would repeatedly sabotage crucial experiments.

At the same time, they would rally the underground resistance, throwing the already strife-ridden Seris Empire into utter disarray.

Thereafter, Lun Heping would continue to grow through battle after battle, eventually rescuing his beloved.

However, amidst the Imperial Army's fierce encirclement, he would accumulate injuries, ultimately dying young, leaving behind a child with Hui.

Next in the script, the new protagonist would be this child, who would take up his father's banner of rebellion against the aging Emperor Bu Lan Du.

When Emperor Bu Lan Du's lifespan ended amidst his reluctance, his eldest imperial prince, Qiaobana, would then ascend as the new protagonist of the Spirit of Creation.

The grievances and affections spanning generations were clearly arranged by the two scriptwriters; unfortunately, before a victor was decided, no one knew the final outcome.

The script remained in a "to be continued" state, but Bai Mo no longer wished to wait.

...

He offered no further explanations. The white paper, still bearing his silhouette, began a countdown to structural collapse.

Even if they didn't actively destroy the evidence, the white paper was about to self-destruct due to overload.

"Bu Lan Du shouldn't die a lonely death on this planet?"

Mei Lin didn't understand Bai Mo's meaning, but the paper Bai Mo had been attached to had already drifted away with the wind, and the Emperor, responsible for "summoning" Bai Mo, was also panting exhaustedly; it was impossible to find the other party again in a short time.

...

"The other party possesses the ability to destroy planets, transport people to other planets, and possibly even revive the dead. As for the core Origin Stones of the other two great nations, seizing them by force isn't realistic. Perhaps we can share part of the truth with their high-ranking officials..."

After leaving the palace, Mei Lin returned to the study in his mansion and began to meticulously organize the existing intelligence.

The servants outside the door didn't dare breathe a sound, for they had never seen their master wear such a fierce expression.

The condition Bai Mo proposed, the revival of Bashaka, had indeed moved Mei Lin.

"Tell them about the world-ending catastrophe." He decided to reveal most of the truth, excluding the conditions the two of them could obtain.

...

"Another one done."

At Lun Qin's home, Lun Heping counted off names on the list in his hand, then drew a cross over one of the names on it.

Since that day, Lun Qin had handed her younger brother a list, telling him to kill everyone on it.

This list was given to her by Bai Mo, a task for her to arrange.

Moreover, he had specifically named Lun Heping, demanding that all these tasks be carried out by him.

It wasn't that she hadn't raised questions, but after watching the "Doomsday Catastrophe" blockbuster, all her questions were buried deep within her mind.

Blessed by external Qi Luck, Lun Heping was virtually unstoppable when dealing with anyone other than the Emperor. Previously, when the agents spontaneously decided to "frame" him and let their pistols be stolen, it was due to the influence of Qi Luck.

Although this incident landed him another bounty, he obtained two police pistols with ammunition. In Seris, where the use of thermal weapons was prohibited, these things were simply instruments of mass destruction.

Unfortunately, Lun Heping did not possess the shooting skills to match.

He was merely a high school student forced to drop out, moonlighting as an assassin.

His most recent assignment had taken him considerable time.

His target was a nobleman of significant standing who rarely appeared in public.

After much difficulty, Lun Heping finally learned that the target occasionally dined at a certain luxury hotel club.

So, after a thorough disguise, he went to the club dressed as a woman to work as a food runner.

Every day, he carried a small vial of potassium cyanide solution in his pocket.

As a result, he worked for over a month, and Lun Heping, busy in and around the kitchen every day, almost forgot that he was a pigeon assassin, there to kill.

However, the mission was ultimately successful. He finally waited for the opportunity to deliver food to his target.

At the corner of the restaurant corridor, Lun Heping poured the solution into the steaming, aromatic thick soup...

PS: Recommending two books. The first is "Hippony Chronicles," a rare sci-fi novel that delves into the future starry world... (Planes and American Comics: Auto-Attack Everything)

The second is "I Have a Little Sun." The author is a beautiful woman, her photo is on her avatar (manual smirk).
