Chapter 527: Star Net

"Am I the Celestial Immortal of Myriad Forms, or the Earth Immortal whose thoughts are integrated with the Holy Progenitor race, or the Divine Immortal who constructs the faith of all beings as one, or the Ghost Immortal capable of incessant reincarnation and world-traversal? Should I perhaps also complete the cultivation of the Human Immortal path?"

Unfortunately, the direction of the Human Immortal martial path remained but a conjecture; to truly manifest it would require a considerably long period of exploration. Bai Mo could only temporarily abandon the idea.

...

"Before those people from the European Union left, it seemed they had already named their Six Tiers 'Legends'.

Even if only a portion of the body—merely a fingernail—could undergo Elementization, it was defined by them as entering the gates of Legend. The path of Legend extended all the way to its theoretical endpoint—full-body Elementization, defined as the Seven Tier level, and called the Sanctuary.

Legendary Mage, Saint Mage.

Legendary Arcanist, Saint Arcanist.

Legendary Warlock, Saint Warlock.

Legendary Knight, Saint Knight.

...

These were their titles."

Bai Mo turned his thoughts back to what he had observed on the Moon regarding the established power systems.

Whether it was the Western or Eastern systems, as time passed, both had developed more detailed divisions and descriptions for powers at the Six Tiers and below.

Each tier was no longer merely a vague division of early, middle, and late stages; instead, it had been carved into ten finer layers. Books expounding on the specific conditions of each layer could even fill an entire library.

Tens of thousands of scholars eagerly threw themselves into this direction, which was both the most popular and the most richly resourced.

However, among the publicly available content, what truly delved into core cultivation secrets remained exceedingly rare.

After all, exposing one's fundamental secrets was tantamount to providing all competitors an opportunity to discover one's weaknesses.

Only a handful of dying individuals with no lingering attachments, or an extremely rare few who were supremely confident and utterly fearless of any challenge, would make such a choice.

Guarding their own secrets, or treating them as confidential knowledge to be passed down only to their children and disciples, remained the predominant method of internal superhuman inheritance.

...

However, unlike the vast chasm that existed between different tiers, the difference between adjacent layers within the same tier was actually not significant. At its core, it was merely a fractional difference in scores within the assessment system.

The virtual reality combat power assessment system, which originated in the Huaxia Federation and was initially designed by Bai Mo, had been further improved by the Human Federation government's technical department over the years.

Firstly, the Zero Tier was added, used to measure the innate combat power of ordinary people, as well as other common wild animals and plants. It was also utilized to assess the threat level of any potential alien encounters in the future.

A normal adult male without weapons was designated as Zero Tier, seventh layer, recorded as 0-7, where the first number indicated the tier and the second indicated the layer.

More ferocious lions and tigers, depending on the specific circumstances, were ranked between 0-9 and 1-5.

The detailed assessment of a superhuman's layer was generally obtained by participating in multiple combat power evaluations and taking the average of the results.

A cultivator who had undergone assessment and was certified as Fourth Tier, sixth layer, would be recorded as Level 4-6.

Those who passed the corresponding assessment could wear specific badges issued by the Federation to indicate their power. Federal laws and decrees stipulated that counterfeiting badges was considered the same crime as manufacturing counterfeit currency.

Those who received a Zero to Three Tier evaluation in the assessment would respectively be awarded pentagram badges made of four materials—iron, bronze, silver, and gold—each embedded with specific personal identification information. Four to Six Tiers, meanwhile, received tricolored moon badges in bronze, silver, and gold.

Further up, there was only the Sun badge, which existed solely as a preliminary draft with no finished product. The purple-bronze sun relief template was stored in the second-to-last layer of the Federation's secret vault, awaiting the day it would be unsealed.

...

"What they chose was Mars, where there was only a primitive Stone Age civilization. It was estimated that they wouldn't be able to stir up any waves even after fifteen years. Just like dealing with the Moon Dust Demons on the Moon, the Federation's victory was without a doubt. The only problem was controlling the number of casualties.

It was just that while the civilization of the Martian race might be backward, with the influence of Spirit Qi, their individual combat power was difficult to estimate..."

News of the Moon's transformation into a fortress and the entire race's expedition to Mars had long been common knowledge within Federation society. The concept of an interstellar nomadic people also gradually disseminated from the Federation's high echelons.

However, this had little impact on the lives of most people. For, from the intelligence gathered by the artificial satellites orbiting Mars, the Federation was well aware that their side possessed an absolute technological advantage, and so everyone, from top to bottom, appeared quite relaxed.

The Human Federation's combat plan was to directly pilot the Moon fortress, equipped with giant fusion engines, to Mars's effective gravitational sphere, capture Phobos, one of Mars's satellites, and have it become a supplementary component for the Moon starship.

Then, using the newly equipped Star-Melting Cannon, they would melt Deimos, the other satellite, into a sea of lava.

Massive amounts of lava would, under the influence of Mars's gravity, transform into a rain of meteoric fire, indiscriminately and comprehensively striking the alien races on Mars.

The Moon fortress, like a dove occupying a magpie's nest, would then temporarily become Mars's new satellite, providing continuous support for the landing forces from the rear.

Before the landing operation, a saturated disaster bombardment would be initiated to wipe out more than half of the alien races. This was the Federation's method to minimize their own casualties as much as possible.

Only after venturing into the vast emptiness of space did they realize that a mere four billion people was truly too few.

...

"Mars, Mercury, and Venus within the Solar System's asteroid belt were all under surveillance by Federation Observer-class spy satellites. Before the civilizations on them could fully develop, the Federation should be able to complete its cleanup work.

However, for the four major planets outside the asteroid belt—Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune—the Federation might not be able to carry out extinction before the civilizations there fully arose..."

Although Bai Mo had already decided not to massively interfere with the future trajectory of this half of humanity, he still left a pair of eyes to observe the shifting affairs of this land.

He was also very curious what the future of humanity, developing naturally into an era of stars and seas, would ultimately look like.

As early as ten to twenty years prior, when the human high echelons first learned that civilizations had emerged on the other eight planets due to the appearance of Spirit Qi, the "Star Net" plan, aiming to monopolize the Solar System, had already been conceived.

However, due to a series of unforeseen circumstances, the Star Net plan was repeatedly delayed. It was only after humanity had resettled on the Moon that it was re-proposed by Joseph Lee alongside the Moon fortress-ification plan.

The content of the plan was actually quite simple: to slaughter all races within the Solar System that could potentially threaten human survival.

It was simply that, compared to the vastness of the Solar System, humanity's current flight speed remained lamentably slow, making the sequence of attacks against the eight planets critically important.

Once any of those civilizations successfully ventured into space, the Federation might have to face a truly tough battle—a result that the vast majority of people did not wish to see.

"Perhaps we can talk to them." The outcome on the Manghuang Realm side was already determined from the moment Star Beacon accepted the wager. Bai Mo, whose time was not abundant, needed to redirect his gaze back to the Solar System.
