Chapter 1178: Return To The 9th Division

When Izroth stepped through the gates, he was greeted by a bustling hub filled with both players and NPCs like going to and from places.

Compared to Amaharpe capital city, Danaharpe was several times larger. Additionally, it was split into ten major districts and several minor districts.

The ten major districts included the Noble District, where nobles and those of high status resided. As well as the Residential District, a place where the residents of Danaharpe and most of the visitors it received lived. There was also the Central District which was usually just referred to as the Central Hub, since it was the location where most people gathered in Danaharpe.

The Central Hub contained numerous shops that sold all kind of goods. It was also the location of Danaharpe's auction house and trading area. Most importantly, the Central Hub housed a certain powerful group.

As for the other major and minor districts, they were separate areas in Danaharpe where those of certain professions honed their skills.

This was one of the reasons why Danaharpe was called the city of crafting. It dedicated not just a single building to a profession, but an entire district.

'The 9th Division is currently on standby in the Residential District. I should meet up with them before I have a look around. After that, I should also pay a visit to the Apothecary District. It's about time I raise my Apothecary grade.'

...

A few moments later...

Izroth arrived in the Residential District near the very outskirts. Unlike the center area of the Residential District that were filled with homes, inns and other living accommodations, the outskirts had been cleared out. Due to the ongoing war and the number of troops pouring into Danaharpe, the spacious outskirts of the Residential District had been reserved for those of the four war branches.

'These are the coordinates I received from Niflheim. This should be the building where the 9th Division is staying.'

Izroth stood a few meters away from a plain looking one story building that was neither small nor large. One could tell from a glance that it had been built recently with functionality over luxury in mind. There was a single person standing in front of the building's door that Izroth immediately recognized.

"Ah, Captain! It's really you! The Lieutenant said that you'd be arriving some time today. I didn't expect for it to be this early." An excited voice called out to Izroth by the door as he quickly approached.

"It's been a while, Revel." Izroth said in a carefree manner.

"The Captain actually remembers my name. I'm honored." Revel said as he rubbed the back of his head with a smile.

Revel was one of the members of the 9th Division who was placed under Menerva's Squadron. He showed some promise during their mission into the kingdom of Tempest and was one of the members who performed well overall.

"I consider everyone in the 9th Division to be my people. There is not a single name that I will ever forget." Izroth stated calmly.

Revel felt a strange swelling sense of pride after hearing Izroth's words as a look of admiration flashed through his eyes.

"What are you doing standing outside?" Izroth inquired.

Revel quickly snapped out of it and replied, "It is my turn to stand guard. Tensions are running a bit high ever since the incident that happened yesterday. Since then, everyone has been on edge and security has increased a few levels."

'Incident? That explains why the atmosphere shifted ever since I stepped into the outskirts of the Residential District.'

When Izroth entered Danaharpe, it seemed like a normal city with the exception of being busier than most. But, the moment he walked into the outskirts of the Residential District, the atmosphere was tense and everyone appeared on guard of something.

'Since Niflheim knew I would arriving today and did not inform me, it must not be a huge emergency. Or, he is uncertain of the details. Still, an incident that could cause everyone to become this on guard... I will have to hear from those two myself.'

"I see. I will head inside. Keep up the good work." Izroth said as he walked into the building.

"Yes, Captain!" Revel called out.

...

'It's more spacious than it looks from the outside.'

When Izroth walked into the building, he saw that the interior of the building was made from a mixture of stone and durable wood. The area was spacious and well lit due to the precisely placed magic stones that emitted light. There were no excess decorations; however, it did house a single backroom that seemed to function as an office.

Additionally, there were several tables and chairs set in an orderly fashion.

Izroth noticed that nearly half the 9th Division was present. As for the other half, he assumed they were probably roaming around Danaharpe somewhere or offline.

"Oh! It's the Captain!" Champion's voice sounded as he saw Izroth.

"Eh? The Captain? He's back?!" Clouded Sky said as he turned to look toward the entrance.

The moment Champion mentioned the word "Captain", the gazes of everyone in the building was instantly redirected toward the entrance.

"It's really the Captain! He has returned!"

"Hahaha! Our Captain's back!"

"The Rising Sun of the General Support Unit is here!"

The players of the 9th Division rushed to greet Izroth as he was quickly surrounded in a welcoming manner.

Many of the 9th Division members had a look of pride and admiration in their eyes when they looked at Izroth. They knew that he was someone amazing; however, after the events that transpired in Malentansium and the rumors that spread around, the players of the 9th Division held an even deeper respect for Izroth.

Izroth was responsible for preventing the resurrection of the Night Lord Zarolas. Not only that, but he even managed to capture the sixth princess of the Tempest Kingdom. Additionally, it had become recently known that Izroth also played a large role in what led to Zarolas' original demise and ultimately led the Night Lord into the Night Lord's Crypt.

But, that was all just the tip of the iceberg. Izroth helped in preventing the Pzenium warriors from intruding upon the battlefield at the Night Lord's Crypt, he was currently first on the event leaderboards and he earned a title that had not been given to anyone from the General Support Unit since the current head of the GSU war branch—Rising Sun.

Rising Sun was a title given to the most outstanding member of each war branch's younger generation who were unrivaled talents among their peers. There was only one Rising Sun for every war branch in each generation.

Unfortunately, for the past few generations, with the exception of its current head, no one from the General Support Unit had been worthy of holding the title of the Rising Sun. Strength, achievements well beyond those of their peers and a certain level of fame—if one were lacking any of these points, it would be impossible for them to become a Rising Sun.

Needless to say, with the his strength, achievements and fame, Izroth had already met the conditions and was being called the Rising Sun of the General Support Unit.

"It's good to see you all doing well. You've worked hard this time around and performed well above my expectations. To reward your efforts, I have prepared something for each and every one of you. I also have a few special rewards for those who have displayed an outstanding performance. Look forward to it." Izroth stated with a carefree smile.

The members of the 9th Division could not hide their excitement when Izroth mentioned rewards. They thought back to the luxurious rewards they received when first joining the 9th Division as well as the words of Niflheim that later accompanied it.

"If you contribute properly and aid in our overall success, the rewards you'll get will make our welcome present seem like a passing thought in comparison."—those were Niflheim exact words.

The reward bag filled with potions, pills and other goods was worth more than 10,000 RMB. To say that it could only be considered a passing thought in comparison—how could the members of the 9th Division not be excited about the rewards Izroth mentioned?

"Alright, everyone. Let's give our Captain some room. He just returned, after all. I had a feeling you'd be here sooner than expected." A familiar voice sounded from the direction of the office as the door opened.

This voice belonged to none other than Niflheim.
